It isn’t scented and it’s supposed to be dust free, so my only worry would be them ingesting it – it’s not biodegradable and it’s basically a soft stone so would be hard for them to digest it if they ate any. It’s tested safe for cats, but buns digestive systems are much different.
One other thing that would bother me though is you’re supposed to change the litter pellets once a month. Which is fine in cats, since you can scoop the solids out. But with a rabbit, their droppings are about the size of litter pellets and mix in, so makes scooping it without litter pellets near impossible. So you’d need a screen that kept the solids from dropping into the litter.
At that point, you’re still cleaning the screen from droppings and the pad on the bottom for urine, which is about the same amount of work as a regular litter box with a screen. And if your buns happen to knock the screen off (which some owners have had happen), with a regular box + litter, you don’t have to worry about them eating any the pellets and getting sick. WSP are really cheap too and absorb scent really well.
In short, I still wouldn’t use it.
