        hiiii (:

so, we’ve had my rabbit for almost 3 months now, and she is almost 4 months old & getting bigger. right now this is her home:

        Photobucket

yes, its small, i know. but she’s only really in it at night or when i’m at school, etc. other than that, she gets tons of play running around my room/bed.

however, we still want to get her a larger home that she can run around in a be happy with. my mom and i were considering the bunny barn:

but the only problem is, the bottom part of it doesn’t have a floor. it would make a huge mess. does anyone have any ideas of how we can kinda “install” a floor?

also, here is another home that i liked:

it would also fit nicely in my bedroom.

do any of you have these homes for your bunn, or know much about them? if you have other ideas, please tell me about them! :3

Those are both very small. It’s usually recommended that a bunny has about 4 ft x 4 ft of cage area. People either make NIC condos (check out the gallery section… NIC’s are usually built to be tall and made out of squares… you will know it when you see the picture, haha) or use xpens. I use xpens for both of my rabbits..
Not sure about the flooring? Both of my boys are on carpet and they haven’t ruined it *yet*… but it has been 9 months so I don’t think they will ever really damage it.

thats a relief to hear haha. bc sometimes she pees on her hay D: but today, i decided to do a little experienment and put her hay in a small cardboard box to keep her from peeing on it. idk if she likes it though or if shes getting enough hay? i did see her eat from it a few times, so i guess its ok. is there a type of hay rack you can reccomend by any chance?

Mine actually don’t like hay racks, they just like it in the litter box. Sometimes they do pee on it, but most of the time they don’t.

Oh one thing you could try is putting some hay in a small paper bag- like a lunch bag. Just twist the top of it and make a few bigger rips in the side and see if she will eat from that. She will also probably like tossing it around.
