Today was Thumper’s check-up visit for his cut. I took Penelope with us and ended up having to leave her there overnight. I do not like going to the vet with two rabbits and only coming back with one!

I posted about the weird thing Penelope was doing when peeing earlier this week (peeing in small drops). Yesterday, I noticed that she had sludge in her urine, so decided that I would take her in with me when I took Thumper today. I also suspected that she had lost some weight, which was comfirmed at the vet today. She has lost a total of .21 kilograms, which is pretty significant for her. They told me that they could keep her and pump her full of fluids and then try to help her pass the rest of the sludge or they could do some type of screening test thingy (?). I told them to do whatever would be less tramautic for her and they said the fluids would probably be best. So she’s staying there overnight The main vet (the one I usually go to but he’s hard to get an appointment with) will be in tomorrow, so he’ll be there to grind down her back teeth (time for that again too). They’re not completely sure why she’s lost so much weight, but they’re guessing it’s from the discomfort of the bladder sludge. They said the teeth were barely pointy so it was unlikely they were causing her any discomfort. I know she’ll be fine, I just worry.

But on to Thumper! I noticed yesterday morning that he had re-opened the middle cut (there were three smallish cuts right in a row). It wasn’t bleeding so I wasn’t overly concerned. But when I took him in today they said they wanted to put one stitch in that middle cut. So, they put him under and stitched him up! But two good things, it’s not infected and he’s already put on weight! His ear mites are gone and besides having to be stitched up he’s in really good health!

Wow, this ended up being really long. Sorry about that. I just feel a little overwelmed right now and needed to talk about it I guess lol

Sounds like you have a wonderful vet clinic.
