Cotton has a new issue.  HE has flaky skin and thinning hair around his nose area.

A little recent background.    I had taken him to the messianic jewish place and 4 of us prayed for him.  I took him to the catholic church and 3 of us prayed for him.

Ok so lets say G-d gave Cotton a new problem so I would take him to the vet.

This new vet is good.  He diagnosed Cottons lip and put him on penG shots.   Now I be darn BB people had told me it could be treponematosis.

Today I go online and find a pic that is his lip and a good article about how  the tests results come back showing many bacteria but not treponematosis.   This apparantly is quite common

In the meantime I have been putting useless cream on his lip stressing us both out all this time.  Not happy not happy at all.  The previuos 2 vets he saw said no it can’t be that cuz there are no legions on his genitals.   Well there doesn’t have to be.

Should have listened to my friends on BB and not backed down when I requested we go with penG injections.   Not let them talk me out of it.

Cotton is doing good he has been grooming himself very good.  His first injection was today.

Plus someone told me put olive oil on his lip  Well I did and it just kept it moist so it wouldn’t dry out and hurt him as bad. So no more of that no more cream.

Rodent ulcer is not the problem.  The tuleronemia or whatever it is creates ulcers but not rodent ulcers or the steroid would have taken care of it.

Dang this took long enuf didn’t it          And I am none too happy with the 2 previous vets.  I like the new guy they have.

        I

BT, it’s so good to hear from you.
Very glad you finally found the right vet. What an ordeal you both have been through. Poor little Cotton Boo.

If this clears it up, I think a polite but informative letter or email to the other vets telling them (after all, they were wrong and should learn from this – and be grateful you don’t pursue it further against them.) so they know. It should be humbling.

Regardless, I hope this is the definitive cure. Keep us posted.

              Hi RabbitPam and Sarita

Cotton is eating very good now and running about the living room kicking up his feet and chewing his toys a lot more now.   I looked at his lip today it has only been 1 day but I believe I do see improvement

And he takes his probiotic like a champ.  NO fuss no hassle just stick some on his food and it is gone.  I am now able to  pick him up without as much fuss.

HE is figuring out that I am picking him up to brush him or pet n hold him not to mess iwth his lip.  Tho I did take a good long peek at it to see if it has any improvement.   Sure looks like it does.

2 1/2 years of this  for no reason at all.  Just cux oh he cna’t have that it isn’t on his genitals.  Pfffft.  Liars.  They work at the same place his new Dr. works.  One of the vets said no isn’t that well the new vet was talking to him and told him his beliefs n diagnosis and he also looked online and found this info just like I did.

HE did say yesterday this is risky I told him that some rabbits handle it like a champ and I am willing to take my chances to get him well.  HE is taking it like a champ.  I check his litterbox and things look good there and he is active.  That says a lot.

Hopefully this will continue and he be healed at last.

Yes I been gone a while.

I am so glad to hear from you and that Cotton Boo is going to be better now! Woohoo! *throws confetti*
A long arrived at diagnosis is such a relief after all that. No one likes to just sit around not being able to do anything. Now you have a direction to go, it must feel great. Congrats!
You both have been missed here. Please give him some snuggles from me and my three terrors!

WOW BT! Finally!!!! I really hope the PenG is the answer for this and you and Cotton finally get some relief.

It’s actually good the Dr’s are at the same practice because you can quietly ask the new Dr to share the results with the others if it is successful.

Goodluck and Thanks for the update on lil Cotton.

Now for the fungus.  His hair loss and small amount of flaky skin.  The skin looks healthy.   Vet things it is ringworm.  Could be favus.  We are waiting for the 21 days for the fungus thing to grow so we can now what this is and treat it correctly.

                    Yes this is great JG.

Oh I am watching animal hoarders.  ONe lady has over 100 rabbits running loose.  She had to move out the house into a camper.  The rabbits chewed all the wires in the house and holes in the walls hay is all over.

                    Gosh this is crazy
