I finally broke down and bought the grossly overpriced bunny maze from binky bunny. My bits have been very bored and destructive lately and their cottontail cottage is nearly gnawed-through so I knew it was time. Hate spending $30 on what amounts to a cardboard box, but it is worth it if it will keep them from destroying everything and trying to infiltrate where they’re not allowed!
Do any of you have the maze and do you like it?

I agree that the maze seems a bit expensive for a fancy cardboard box, but it is so worth it! I buy one every year at least, and often end up with spare parts (so when my bunnies chew out the floor, I can replace it with a new one instead of buying a whole new maze).
Not trying to advertise for BB or anything (though I do love the site, of course), but the maze haven is the most worthwhile thing I’ve ever bought for my bunnies outside of food and things. They love it more than anything and spend most of their day in it.
I love the maze!
Do they get enough traction inside or do you put anything on the cardboard inside to help them move about?
Mine do ok with the cardboard as is. Otto’s a big chicken about hardwood floors, but he’s fine jumping around the maze. Hannah’s favorite thing is to sit on top of it, surveying her kingdom. Haha
My bunnies LOVE the maze haven. They haven’t done any bad damage to it except a few doorways are chewed. I am surprised they haven’t done more, I have almost had it for a year!
I have been thinking about ordering one of those, it looks like something Stickers would really enjoy… or maybe building my own to make it a multi-level maze, but that sounds like a lot more work than just ordering one. lol
Mocha, you’re so lucky! It takes about 4 months (or less) for mine to destroy the floor of the second level. At that point we switch out the roof (which is mostly untouched) for the second level floor. Once they destroy the new floor, we replace it with a new piece. They don’t chew the doors as much, but they do love digging and ripping up the floor. The funny part is their favorite place so sleep is the second floor, but eventually they destroy it so much that they don’t have room to sleep there anymore. They don’t seem to realize they’re making life difficult for themselves.
I just ordered the Maze Haven at the end of last week…as well as half of the BinkyBunny store ;P. I’m really excited for it to get here! I just know Wilbur is going to love it haha and now that I see the bunny bouqets are back looks like I’m going to be making another order, Wilbur eating rose petals is too adorable to pass up (:

Tried building one myself, and honestly it turned out terrible. Our bunny wouldn’t go in it and we ended up throwing it out soon after. My maze haven just arrived today and I really dig it. My rabbit ran right in. The build quality is really nice and it’s really stable.
I have had some success building my own maze haven out of large boxes, but it is unsightly and to guests probably just looks like we have random trash in a corner lol
so the maze haven will be a little more normal looking

Ha ha. That is EXACTLY what it’s like. I had my parents over one day and my mom was picking up a little bit. Before I knew it she’d thrown away 2 phone books and some cardboard shapes. I had to tell her “no, I live in filth on PURPOSE” ![]()
Not the phone books! I bet your buns were giving her the stink eye the whole time like “why is this lady taking our toys away?!?!?” lol I have little bits of cardboard all over the floor too and big rolls of paper that they use as tunnels, bet people wouldn’t understand what it’s about.
Oh good! It’s not just me! I actually apologize to anyone that has to come in, “I’m sorry. My bunnies have taken over my home.”
I JUST had to have an appraiser come. BOY did that take some cleaning!! I ended up putting most of the bunny boxes out on the balcony so that it looked like I actually had a living room again. Of course, I had to quickly put the boxes back (and in order) as soon as I let the bunnies out of their pen. I don’t want to have to deal with the bunny inquisition about having messed with their stuff….nothing but hopping all around the area and periscoping and then looking up at me. Then I, oddly, feel like I’ve done something bad.

So true so true.
My buns are big cardboard box chewers. I haven’t broken down and bought them the maze or the cottage yet because I think they’ll tear through it in a matter of days. I did get the tunnel though (I LOVE the design!!) and I’m waiting to see how they do with that first. Until then.. there are cardboard boxes all over.. chewed so much that their unrecognizable (my buns seem to like the boxes more, the more they’re chewed, see pic below).

The box isn’t normally up on the house like that, I just had it up there while I was vacuuming.. but it is irristable to Arduina. They get so angry at me when I throw away their old boxes.
Did you make that wooden house? I’ve been thinking about making Wilbur something like that…
