  Hi, guys.
  
  I am Alex, I’m new to this forum and this is my first post .
  
  I have a six-month Giant continental rabbit, Loki, and he is moving down this weekend (currently staying at my partners parents due to landlord issues). He doesn’t play with toys a great deal as he much preferrs to chew our stuff, typical…lol. Seeing as he is unlikely to ever stop chewing our things, I was just wondering if, besides the obvious cable concealment and blocking of access to certain things, if there is any good products which I could use as misdirection. Are there any maze boxes, or indoor climbing toys that I could purchase? Also, is there any preventative measures that I can take to avoid him chewing the furnature – the flat is fully furnished, and thus not belonging to us.

  Welcome here. Your focus is going to be mainly on bunny-proofing, and you have to be incredibly careful b/c, as you said, the furniture does not belong to you. Depending on how he matures, he might grow out of his destructive stage. Until then, blocking off access to temptations will be a must. Is he free roam or penned/caged? And speaking of which, has he already been neutered? At 6-months, he is old enough if it has not been done yet.
  
  You’re going to have a difficult time getting pre-fabricated rabbit mazes/tunnels/hidey houses, etc due to his size. I assume from your description, he will be large like our flemish giant. Best thing is to make something yourself. Check around the site, the habitat section, and the habitat gallery, you’ll see neat living spaces.

  He has not been neutered as my partner, for some reason, does not wish to have this done unless he sprays. Yeah, he is quite similar, in size, to a flemish giant. I was thinking of purchasing some glass-fronted furnature to contain my enectrical equipment and book, as he LOVES to chew books, which would be ok but my uni books cost too much, lol. I have bought some carrot-based chews to litter about the flat in the hope that these prove to be effective, but temporary, diversions from the furnature. He is free to roam while we are in the flat. He stays in his cage, which is an extra-large dog cage, while we are out or cooking/cleaning.
  
  I thought that I may struggle to find pre-fabricated mazes, etc, due to his size, but thought I may as well ask . Thanks for the tip, I shall check out that part of the forum.

  I think blocking off tempting things, especially wires, is your best bet. For things that can’t easily be blocked off, I use a lime flavored no-chew product. It doesn’t work forever as it will rub off, but it deters my bunnies long enough that they forget that they wanted to chew on something. In general, bunnies are known to dislike citrus, so you can even try some essential oils, like lemon (and it makes your house smell good!)

  Old phone books are good diversions for bunnies, especially one like yours who likes to chew on books. I keep a couple of phone books on the floor for my bunnies to rip the pages off.
