First, I am totally kidding!! I would never get rid of my buns, no matter how crazy they make me. I would love to pick everyone’s brain here … see if I can pinpoint what the issue is. Quick review. I got Toby before Tillie was spayed. They bonded (not what I was planning, just how it worked out) around the end of July (again before Tillie was spayed). When they first bonded Tillie was peeing everywhere, which I know is normal with new bond and because she was not fixed. She was also leaving poop everywhere. Her litter habits were exceptional before the bond.
It has almost been one month post spay. Toby came to me already neutered. However, they are still peeing all over their condo. It seems that they keep it in there, even though they are free range. Then of course we took Smudge in and the peeing and pooping then started by the gate where Smudge is kept. Again, I know it is because Smudge is a) a new bun on the block and b) not neutered yet. I thought it was Tillie peeing, but have found out it is Toby.
So, I am wondering if the peeing all over the condo is a result of the fairly new bond or because we have Smudge or both? How soon after a new bond does the territorial stuff stop? Whatever it is I am praying so very hard it stops soon. It is becoming a complete chore everyday cleaning up pee and poop
