</style>He is under a strong covering that protects him from the rain and weather, and in a fence thats like 7 feet on both sides, he gets too run around for like 14 hours, but in the morning he eats and binkies and watches me through the sceen, in the afternoon he takes a naps, flops and clean himself, or sleep, or look what your doing through the see-through screen(ushually when I am chopping apples or cooking breakfast, plays, or does bunny 500’s, when its like 4ish he waits for us to give him a treat by waiting by the see through door, no one can resist those cute little eyes staring at you. All day long he tries to go between our legs and get inside, he thinks its funny that we have to chaise him when he has to get out(we sometimes let him explore and enjoy himself and he goes back outside when he is done. But when he gets excited when were chaising him, he lays a poopy. Ha ha, now my mom thinks all the things that are brown on the ground are little rabbit poops! He gets love and attention(he love guests) He will soon be a half inside rabbit too, working on it.
Agree with Monkey. Also, I would put some boards under the ground outside around the fence if he is free run in the yard… he could dig out, or a dog or something could dig in.
birds can get in, we have a nest, they don’t go into his area, there to scared, ha ha. When it rains the birds go into the nest(bird house) and make a family, but other than that the sun can’t get to my bunny, the fence really does block out the heat, if it gets to hot, I will most likely bring him inside. I am so luck to have that covering, or else, I don’t think I would have thought of keeping a bunny cause I knew what would happen.
He is in a fence, I don’t let him run around in the yard! That’s dangerous, he is in a tall fence thats long, so he can run around in the fence under the covering, me dad built it.
It’s the hawks that you need to watch out for. I know of two different people who were letting their rabbit run around in a fenced area, and a hawk attacked the rabbit. Rabbits are excellent diggers and will dig out of a fence, and other animals can dig in or climb or jump over. Any rabbit that is outside needs to be in a totally predator proof and escape proof place, with top, sides and bottom enclosed, and that is not easy to accomplish for the general homeowner.
Even aside from rabbits being a prey animal, i have to believe that even the little birds can spread some serious diseases. It seems like rabbits are much more susceptible to illness than anything else. So even though a bird might not pose a threat to use disease-wise, it can to a rabbit.
It looks like the pen is in a garage or something. Isn’t it? If so I don’t think big birds could get him, but if he isn’t you would defiantly need something to cover the top. A tarp or chicken wire would work.
There’s a covering over it, a big strong covering, but when I took the pic, I didn’t include the top, but there is a big metal, I think metal covering that protects him from the weather and hawks, cause hawks won’t swoop in cause they would feel like there flying into a trap. If there are hawks, I don’t think they even know my rabbit exists!
