Well, it does depend and as you say, they can retract them. That is why you just cannot rely on that to sex a rabbit.

Have you seen them at all? If he’s over 4 months, he should be good to go. Your vet will let you know for sure when you take him in for his pre-neuter appt.

It’s not always super noticeable. Otto’s were descended when I got him, but the vet had to push around his fur to spot them.

I managed to pick him up this morining without him freaking out and Im positive I saw both of them so I think that I’m good to go. My husband and I have actually decided that we are going to take him to a spay neuter clinic to have him neutered. most of the vets in our area that I trust to do the surgery either
                  1) doesn’t do a closed neuter
                  2) are priced at over $200

we have 4 rabbit rescues in the area and the spay neuter clinic that I found does the surgeries for two of the bigger ones rescues and they are way more affordable at about $50 for a neuter. when I called them they were very knowledgeable about rabbits and made me feel very comfortable about having Cinnabun go there to get it done. I just wanted to make sure that I could tell that they have dropped so I could call them and talk with them again.

That’s a FANTASTIC price for a neuter. They can tell you how old they are comortable to neuter at and indicate if you can bring him in or need to wait. Most vets do it at 5-6 months but there is variance, and they can tell you when to bring him in.
