Well not really.    And this isn’t a bad post or anything.  She’s fine.  I’m fine.  lol

I have a wedding in Bloomington tomorrow which is about 30 to 40 minutes from my dad’s house.  Same as Peoria.  My cousin is getting married so my dad decided to get a hotel room where the reception is being held.  The whole family is coming in and apparently lots of us are getting together for brunch on Sunday.

While I was driving to work this morning, it finally dawned on me that LOLLI WILL BE BY HERSELF SATURDAY NIGHT.      Of course this led to instant panic cause what is my baby going to do or think without me being here?  Let alone that it will be the first time she’s been by herself overnight since moving in with my dad.  There’s no one to take care of her.

Then logic kicked in and this is what it had to say…..”Lolli will most like not give a @#%! so relax”.

Well, she will to an extent but she really will be ok.  Aside from needing to get her to lose a bit of weight, she’s fine.  Eating, pooping, drinking.  No poopy butt.   I will be filling her bowl up with pellets, giving her lettuce right before I leave, refilling her water and giving more hay.  So she’ll have plenty of food and water.  We’ll be gone right around 24 hours.  The wedding is at 2 on Saturday.  I’m assuming we’ll be home by 2-3pm on Sunday if not earlier.  It’s just that she’s my baby.  And if it wasn’t such a pain and doable, I’d totally take her with me.  lol

I anticipate the butt at the very least when I get back on Sunday.  LOL

Haha, I have to do the same thing whenever I leave Riley! I always remind myself how much he hates car rides, and that he goes back into his cage even when I let him out, so it can’t be THAT bad!

          Have fun at the wedding!

Don’t worry, I went through the same thing on Monday when I had to leave my bunny for the first time for 30 hours hahah (: It was either leave her at home with lots of water and hay or pay an extra $100 only to have to keep her in her cage at the hotel room.

May I suggest that you don’t fill up her bowl with pellets?

Would she pace herself with a full bowl?  An alternative is too give her normal amount of pellets early in the morning, then another lot before you leave (ok maybe a double lot before you leave), a big old serve of veggies, plenty of water and hay.

I second Jerseygirl, too much pellets could throw her system off. Better to just let her munch on lots of hay while you’re gone, and have her normal serving of pellets before you leave and once you return.

I would also just give her normal serving of pellets. When she runs out, she will eat the hay instead.

Well I obviously spoke too soon. I picked up Lolli this morning and got smeared with poop. So she has poopy butt again. Sigh. I gave her some grapes and a piece of apple last week. I think it might be the grapes. I don’t know. So I bought some unsweetened apple sauce to make her some biscuits this weekend.

But it just figures….right before you get ready to leave overnight, the kids have problems. LOL

Poor Lolli! Nothing like getting poopy butt and making momma worry while be gone overnight! Ugh, darn kids!

I checked her last night and she’s fine.  So maybe it was her cecals?  I have no clue at this point but am very glad she doesn’t have poopy butt after all.  Her butt is all nice and clean!  lol   Here is the recipe:

                         http://www.rabbit.org/fun/biscuts.html

I have only ever used fruit.  I used honey the first time I made them.  Omitted it the second time and Lolli didn’t even notice.  So if you’re trying to get a bunny to lose some weight, you can leave out the honey.  And the oats as I just found out.  lol  I evened burned the last batch and Lolli still loved them.  LOL
