Soooo, we had an eventful few weeks. I wrenched myself away from the babies in my last post and ended up asking a lady at the vets if she knew of any shelters in the area. She actually ended up sending me to a district of our town that I used to live in, where I met a lady who I’d actually come accross before. She used to look after people’s pets if they went away for a while, and I remember there being an ordeal when someone didn’t come back again. Anyway, she takes in animals and cares for them off her own back, because she was bothered by the people in that district having trouble finding shelters in the area, and to be honest, seeing all the animals around that had been abandoned (the area is particularly bad for kittens and small animals, and the odd puppy. How awful!). She’s pretty amazing, I was touched. She gets a little money from donations and activities she organises, and sometimes she gets help for taking in siezed abused animals for a while before they’re sorted out somewhere else.

        And that’s where I met Ringo~
She’s older than the ones I looked at before, and her siblings were all taken when the litter was younger (They were found in an allotment nearby, under some half barrels. : ( Sad.)  She has a white nose, but bigger than the other one, and doesnt have the white paws all over, but just brown front ones. I went up there a few times, and ended up asking if I could take her home. Boy did the lady  assess me, haha. But I guess that’s good, I know she cared, and was responsible.

I’m glad I waited. REALLY glad. You guys are great. Thanks for beotchslapping me into realising that personifying your animals to an extent where you let them make your choices is not good for them at all.
Now I have a sweet little thing, who is affectionate and playful, but MUCH more relaxed and less hectic looking than the tiny tiny babies I saw before. When I think about it, as cute as it was, they probably weren’t acting that way because they were happy, relaxed buns. They probably just wanted OUT, real bad.

So, after my overly long story (which I have left many details out of, actually, but this is already a textwall, so…) meet Ringo! (Ringo Flamingo, Ringle Dingle, Little Pringle) - She’s 11 weeksish, has a crazy ‘do (but is less fluffy than the ones before, kinda thankfully, haha) and is the loveliest little thing in the world.

I ended up with a baby anyway, but I’m happy with how it all turned out. And now I’m going to start doing art for the shelter lady when she runs events. Awesome! <3

Awww, look at the little stinker. Too cute! I especially love the white nose. Good luck with that fur though What does Ponyo think of her?

                Haha, thanks guys. <3

And Ponyo likes her. A little too much, so they’re not allowed to play together until she’s spayed and big enough to withstand his humps until he works out they won’t do anything and settles for cuddles. I had them out one at a time today, and they love watching each other and getting worked up and playing their time like little troopers. <3

You really got b/slapped here on BB? lol

Congratulations on the new girl! She looks adorable! Is she a lionhead lop? I’m curious about her eyesight. Is it all good? She’s doing that head bobbing thing on your bed though it could be her mane obscuring her vision somewhat.

The future bond for Ponya and Ringo sounds very promising!
