        I looked at littlepuffytail’s post first but this is not the same;

        Franz has started chasing jasmine in the living room once or twice a day. Sometimes away from the hay and sometimes our pets! She doesn’t come in as much anymore they snuggle tons but I don’t like it when Franz bullies jasmine around!

        Michael and I have been snagging him when we see him starting to chase her and we will tell him no and to be nice and cover his eyes to make him calm down, and it’s reducing the behavior, but I’m wondering if there’s something else I should be doing… I just want jasmine to not get picked on!

          Also Franz started chasing her and nipping when she’s tired of grooming him! He’s such a jerk!

            Max will chase Mead when he wants some “lovin”… but he stops after a few seconds. If you don’t break it up, will he just keep chasing her?

              Hannah also chases – sometimes it’s about food, sometimes she’s just bored, and sometimes she actually wants groomies but Otto thinks she’s chasing and runs away (she looks so sad when that happens! lol) I typically say her name in a very stern voice. If that doesn’t stop her, I grab the spray bottle (I typically don’t need to spray her anymore – just show her the bottle). She’s gotten better, but that may be related to how long they’ve been together.

              What happens when he chases? Do they end in a fight? Or does she just run off?

                It lasts only a few seconds and they don’t fight; jasmine just runs and Franz might pull a small bit of fur off her butt. Do you think spraying would work or do you think that it will just make him angry?

                  It really depends on the bunny if spraying or other discipline will work. Some really don’t understand it, and for others it can cause fear and aggression, so it really depends on the bunny. Hannah is a good candidate for spraying and it works for her – I haven’t sprayed her in months and months, but it’s handy to have around and point at her when she’s chasing or doing something else bad (I pretty much only point it at her for chasing and the behavior has decreased dramatically over the last 6 months). If you have a bunny who doesn’t learn from consequences (I could spray Otto until he was soaking wet and he’ll keep doing whatever he wanted to do) it won’t work, but Hannah’s bad habits can be broken after a few tries.

                  If he’s just chasing briefly and pulling out fur, I would let them go and I think he’ll settle down. I only sprayed Hannah because her chasing would go on and on and a few times it resulted in a fight when Otto had had enough. Unless Franz escalates his chasing, he’ll probably grow bored with it, or Jasmine will stand up for herself and he’ll knock it off.
