Thistle is very playfull at night so I let him out for a few hours before bed and he has a great time doing binkies and runnding and playing! My thing is I would like to get him use to being out more often during the day I will leave his cage open bu he dosent come out he just loafs in his cage
so when I close his cage up he runs to the door like he wanted out!!
but as soon as I open it up again same thing loaf in the back and dosent come out! lol I know buns are more active at dawn and dusk so I dont expect the same energy level.
I built a bun proof place in my living room it secluded but he can still see around, he gets nervous and just sits in his litter box or siffs around never leaving the litter box! lol will it just take some time for him to get comfortable or do you think its too much stress for him? I like him out here because I can see him from anywhere and know hes doin ok unlike my room where I get nervouse and constaly stop what Im doing to check on him loafing in his cage! lol
I feel bad cause I feel like he never gets out to play because its alllll day he is in his cage and only comes out at night
this is the second day in the new run, what do you guys think I should do?
Sorry these pics are horrible! Its hard to see but I set out his favorite treat for him so it would draw him out also I coverd a portion on the run with a blanket to make him feel more secure.

I also stuck raisins in the willow basket and around it to encourage him to come out too

Before you guys beat me with a stick let me explain the collar! lol It is a break away cat collar the type with the elastic peice, I cut the elastic out and replaced it with a single string of sewing thread it constantly breaks and he hardly ever wears it! I only put it on him when he is outside of my room for his safety because he is really good at escaping! He has only gotten out one time and the only way I found him was the collar jingling he was hiding under a sofa! lol
I can also hear the little bell jingle when he starts attempting to move around the new run. When its jingling I know to not go in his sight or make any loud noises till he gets settled and comfortable in the new setting.

Here he is never leaving the litter box!
I hope he gets use to this new run I think he would love it!
