It would be easier to advise if we know more about your idea. Off hand I would not recommend any rope or string, as a bunny can either chew through it or get a precious body part caught in it. If you check out other posts here, you may see a suggestion that’s similar to what you have in mind.
          Can you describe it?

ok so update I made sophie and cady a maze/playhouse and was curious about the string/twine for hanging toys and making it more stable ( i wanted to avoid tape/glue). So I ended up getting sisel twine? I did some research and found it is completely natural and safe? well let me just say I havent gotten this many binkies in awhile!! the first level is a mini maze that leads to the second level which has some hanging toys and toilet paper rolls poking through. Cant lie Im pretty proud of myself especially seeing how much they enjoy it! I may add a third level, but need to rest first, considering I worked last night and havent slept yet!

I think I need a picture to truly get the idea.

Sisal, hemp and natural type stuff is good but you do have to take a care about how it’s positioned for the reasons RP mentioned. Like those dangling slinky springs. You’d think them harmless but bunny appendages can get caught in them.
I’ve used cable ties when secure flaps of cardboard before. Real pain to do though!
