BT, you have had so much trouble from these biddies. I’m sorry. If they could turn their big noses into something more productive, like spotting the neighborhood drug dealers, they might make themselves useful. Maybe you could suggest to management that they enlist these jerks to act as real crime watchers and give them something else to pay attention to.
I actually think that a period of time for Ruby to spend in her new home will be good for her. She needs to know where she lives, who with, and bond with them. It’s so heartbreaking for you, but since the new owners are such very good people with her, and you can visit, than it may be a few weeks of getting used to the situation will help both of you. You have trained Ruby and Cotton very well in being calm while going outside, so perhaps you all could meet on your dock for visits on nice days. Then the biddies can mind their own business.
If the tiles are mismatched, get that guy back to do the job right, if he’s going to harass you with spot checks in closets with flashlights. He’s walking a thin like regarding privacy.
Do the biddies ever violate any rules? Perhaps it’s time to read the rule book again. Maybe they broke some, too.
(And you are very good at turning the other cheek, so do what you think is best.) {{{{{Hugs!}}}}}}}
