        Hello all,

I wonder if anybody here has some good tips on how to create separate spaces in the bunny room for the bunnies?

I have 3 bunnies, but I notice that there are some territorial tiffs at times, so I would like to create spaces for them where they can withdraw from the others when they need to. Mostly I want to give the smallest of my bunnies her own private space where she can eat and poop , so if you can suggest something where only a small bunny can enter, then that is good.

She likes to be up high, so maybe that could be a solution as well. I have considered a cat climbing tree, but I don’t trust that one of them won’t mark it with urine.

Please let me see pictures of what you have done if you have multiple bunnies.

Both Kokanee&Kahlua and BB (BinkyBunny) have created separate spaces in the past for their bunnies to either be completely separated or have private hidey spots to go to. I am picturing K&K’s rows of cages separated by NIC cubes, a box or two, and about a foot of floor space as one example.
And BB had some nice set ups for Vivian when she needed to do a Garbo (“I want to be alone”) from Jack.

I will send them this as an alert so one or both can comment and maybe link you to some of their pix that were posted.
Meanwhile, check out the photos in the Habitats section of the photo Gallery.

The problem with adding more hideways might be that it causes more territorial disputes. Are they having disputes over particular items or is it more the whole space in general?

I think you do have some options though with her being smaller and liking heights. If you created something around that (like an elevated area) would the others be curious and want to go there all the time also? I suppose you could create something like a raised platform area that is accessed via a narrow ramp against a wall. The platform area would have to be enclosed so the other 2 can’t jump directly up there.

I think BB had a box for her bunny Rucy that had a narrow opening. Rucy was small and could enter it but Jack could not.  Something like a pipe or tube might work well as it has 2 entry/exits.
