I had thought about fostering a pair of rabbits before I came across Gabby on craigslist. The nice lady sent me a video of the pair playing on a Little Tikes slide that had indoor/outdoor carpet on the slide part for them to run up and down it to play.

I’ve been scouring craigslist and local papers to find a slide like that cheap. Today I found one for $15 and I got in touch with the lady first and was able to pick it up. It’s exactly like what I’ve been looking for.

        There’s only one problem…

My 7 year old daughter got so excited when we picked it up. I told her it was for the bunnies but she could try it out before we put the carpet on it. Well, my child loves playing on it even though it is really a size for toddlers. We were planning on a day trip tomorrow and she doesn’t even want to go anymore so we can stay home and she can play on this slide all day.

We came up with a happy medium for her and the bunnies. My husband cut the carpet in a way we don’t have to glue it down and my daughter can pull it off when she wants to play on it. Unfortunately for the bunnies it has not been their turn to try playing on it yet. If she ever lets them have a turn I’ll be sure and take pictures.

This reminds me of when Porky first came home.  We just put plastic carpet protector as the floor of his ramps.  There was no traction, so he just slid down them on his furry little bottom.  he would try to run up them, get half way then just slide back down again.

My 5yo doesn’t always want to share his fruit with Porky.  I was surprised, I thought DS would be delighted to share treats with his bunny.

Aw! Maybe you can find an inexpensive used swing set for her to have?

LOL, that’s so funny! My dog actually liked the kiddie slide at the park. It was the kind that was shaped like a horseshoe with steps going up on one side, a platform in the middle, and a slide on the other side. She loved it because she could go up the steps all by herself and then slide down. We had to make sure to catch her though because she would go flying off the end of the slide if we didn’t. You would have thought she was a little kid, it was so funny. She would see the slide and go straight for it. She wanted to slide down!

The funny thing is my daughter does have a swing set already. She finally got off the slide and Thumper climbed up on it in excitement. I’ll post the pictures later.
