Flopsy’s been behaving rather badly the past few days (pulled down and nibbled a House DVD box, yanked one of my sketchbooks off the shelf and gave it a lovely scalloped edge). I think he’s just bored, so my husband and I have been looking for toys that would give him some mental stimulation, but we live in a small town and the local PetsMart doesn’t really cater to rabbits. I thought maybe some of y’all would have ideas for toys that won’t strain a student’s limited budget but will give Flopsy something to occupy the time we can’t because of school. He has a willow ball, which he loves (chewed a hole into it and spread the pieces across the floor), and some apple sticks. My husband has also built him a burrow box out of a cardboard box with holes cut in the ends and filled with newspaper scraps. He also has a box filled with old documents to scratch in, another cardboard box he likes to shred, and a toilet paper tube (which he doesn’t care for too much), as well as a few ball-type cat toys. Any ideas for something he’ll find more interesting?
