Fuzzy has been with me for 7 months already. She and Fluffy are good partners (although sometimes she is scared of Fluffy). Last July 04, she was very quiet, not eating or drinking, and always lying on her side of the cage. At first I thought that she was pregnant because her tummy is big. I sent her at the vet clinic wherein she was injected with IV fluids, and I was advised to bring her again the day after that. So, I brought her there around 1pm for her dextrose (since she is still not eating anything and I am really worried). I was advised to monitor her since she might get irritated with the needle injected on the veins of her right ear. Around 4pm, I called for the vet because she is having difficulties in breathing. Thats when I found out that they can no longer save her. Later that night, the vet told me that in her necropsy, the cause of her death is Bloat – thats why her tummy keeps on getting big, because there is a gas build up which expanded up to her respiratory tract, giving her a hard time breathing.
Fuzzy, no matter how short-lived she turned out to be, will always be in my heart. Even if I have another rabbit, she will always be the original. No one can ever replace her because she is so sweet and loving. I will miss her but I know that I will see her very soon.
