Well, after way too much studying, I’m done with Boards and have since gone on 2 different vacations, and I’m finally readjusting to society (and bills, and groceries, and other life things I’ve neglected for the past month or two)…

I left Daphne in the care of a friend while I was gone, and he’s slowly getting back to his friendly self but may be a little bitter about my absence for the past 2 weeks.  The big day is next week (his gender reassignment surgey so he can live up to his name, Daphne, sans testicles, haha), so he’s a complete fail at litter training these days – little poops all over the X-pen, but at least the pee has remained in the litter pan (small victories in puberty, I suppose).  I’ll be moving early next week, and then he goes to surgey a few days later so he’ll at least have a couple of days to adjust to the new house before he’s totally traumatized

Anyway, just thought I’d drop a line here and say “hey” to everyone on BinkyBunny.  Also, wish me luck on nail clipping later this week when my boyfriend gets back in town and we try to get Daphne to NOT freak out (he totally charged at me a few weeks ago when my roomie and I attempted to clip his nails, without any success, hence the utter need to clip ’em now as the nails have gotten way too long).

          Hey back.
Sounds like you can’t expect much in the way of golden behavior from Daphne until about a month after the procedure, but by then you will be settled in more too, so all should start to calm down.

I recommend a bunny burrito, which works really well with a BF to hold him so you can fish for paws and do the clipping. He’s hormonal right now anyway, so it’s almost better to get all the unsettling stuff taken care of all at once.

Samantha has taken to leaving a pile of poos next to her food dishes 2x a day lately. Like, she watches me throw them in the litter pan EVERY morning as if it’s my job. Brat.
