while randomly surfing the net I found these things called a “Garden Waste Storage Cage” basically it is a very large NIC grid made into a square cage.  sort of flicked past it when I came to a dog forum and they where all raving about them so I had another look, sure enough these things are available at Bunnings for $25 a pack and are Huge!  So late last night I ran out and picked up a pack and created and extra pen for Bugz and Anya.  The cages come with these twist things to hold them together but Iswitched to cable ties about about 5 mins of Bugz testing out the new fence line.  Am going to re do the whole rabbit room with hese as they are great.

I would upload a picture but it will not let me.  But these things are pretty much a meter squared when together or the size of a large dog create minus a top and bottom.  A lot cheaper then the puppy fencing I was planning on buying.

Ok for the third attempt to add a photo!  Ok this is dark and i can see it but i am like 5″5′ or what ever (162cm) in height and these come up to around my waste.  Also it is three meters from where I put the corner you can see to the gate/door but i have angled the last one so that it goes in behind the cupboard.

            Hi AV!

So these come in pack with the panels separated? I’ve seen the catalogue ads and thought it was a welded wire cube. I had thought they’d be useful for temporay holding cages if you found a stray etc but they be great if separate panels. They look way bigger then I imagined also. Will have to go check it out.

I bought “NIC” grids here and they’re not like what’s on offer in the States.  I now know how your buns managed to chew thru the wire eventually.

yeah they are in a pack as four seperate pannels so think NIC cudes only much bigger and not powder coated. yeah Bugz could take a NIC cube about in about 30 mins, so far these are much better. I am planning a new hutch for Bugz and Anya made with this as I think it will be a lot more stable then what I have used before. They do come with these twist things that you twist onto the corners to hold it together but when Bugz rattles the grids they work their way down the grid so I used cable ties instead.

You were the one who had a custom hutch made right, or am I thinking of a different AUS member?

Yes and that was a waste of time money and effort, it is horrible dark, hard to clean so moving back to the xpen style

Ah. That’s a shame. And there were no modifications that could be done to fix it?

I tired and it made it worse which is why I have just given up! A friend wants to take it apart and turn it into a finch cage and is going to give me about $300 for it so I figure that is better then nothing.
