My bunnies have again, forgotten they are potty trained and taken to pooping and peeing outside of their cage on the carpet. I have tried moving their stuff around so the cage covers whatever area they are going in, but they just pick another area OUTSIDE of the cage to go. Sadly, I have closed their fence so they don’t have as much space as they do.. but it’s necessary to help potty train them again.

do you guys have any other tips? I spray the area with pet cleaner and scrub the hell out of it, but I don’t think that’s getting the smell out since they keep going there. I covered the area with a small piece of wood, but they literally moved it aside and went again lol. I do the usual, scoop up the poop and throw it in the litterbox, but they keep making mistakes.

One of the easiest things to do is reward/praise both of them when they potty in their litter box. This is easier to do when they pee, because their tails go up. Hehe. But it was totally effective for my pretty resistant bunny. I’d start with giving him a small piece of banana or any other fruit he didn’t get often and now when I see him do it, I occasionally will give him lots of verbal praise. Works like a charm.
