I have never really had bunnies in my yard before because I live on a busy street, but I think there was a big population boom this year and now I have a couple who like to hang out. Of course, I love them being here! Well, except that they killed a couple plants, but I got a spray that they don’t like and now they are leaving those alone and just eating the weeds and grass.

Well, one of the bunnies has taken a liking to me! It’s started staying in the yard even when I’m out and gets closer and closer. Yesterday, it got within a few feet of me and flopped! An all out, laying on my side and going to sleep, FLOP! Then it got up, cleaned itself in front of me. Gobbled up some grass, then flopped and went back to sleep. I have NEVER seen a wild bunny flop – and have rarely seen them cleaning themselves, espcecially face and ear cleaning.

It was so cute I had to share it with you guys – hopefully I’ll get a picture of him (her?) soon.

Are you sure it’s a wild bunny? LOL That is so cool!

I saw a group of wild bunnies playing once. It was hysterical. They were binkying and then hopping over one another. There’s a young bunny in our front yard now. Well that’s where I see him almost every night when I come home. So when I get out of my car and he’s out, I always say hi to him. LOL

There’s a wild bunny we see in our neighborhood when we are driving home at dusk or after dark. It’s so cute and I get so excited every time I see him/her.

our new home is on the last street before national ‘forest’ land, and there are a BAZILLION desert cottontails running around every morning and evening. sometimes even in midday i will see them. we had two 115 degree days this week and some will be plopped down resting in the shade of a small bush. while our two pampered princesses are indoors with the A/C and fans blowing on them. I will post some videos as soon i can find the box where we packed the SD card reader.

there are also tons of quail running around and the buns and them seem to get along fine eating and playing side by side. it’s the coyote that come down from the mountain that they both need to watch out for.

I just love the wild bunnies  I think this one may have figured out we have a spoiled bunny inside and that he wants to get in on it! Silly bunny. He will just have to be our spoiled outside bunny.

I want bunnies in my yard.

My sister lives in the country and her 6 year old daughter always brings carrots and apples in the backyard for the bunnies. Her Mom and Grandmother keep telling her to stop luring them in the yard because they eat all the gardens but she won’t stop. That’s my little niece!!

That’s so sweet of your niece. I saw a couple of wild buns while I was driving on back roads the other day. One looked so little and cute.
