        Apparently, bunnies can also climb!!!

Last night I was watching TV while Olivia was out for some play-time in the living room. I put the x-pen up to fence off the living room from the kitchen. If only I would have had my video camera ready…

Ricky had draped a towel on the inside of the x-pen (What’s with men and leaving towels everywhere? grumble grumble)  Well, Olivia discovered the towel and climbed up it. Yes, climbed…with her hands… all the way to the top of the x-pen (it’s a pretty high x-pen too, almost 3 feet I think…) and then jumped onto the bench right on the other side. I think she wanted to be part of my Bearington Bunny collection that are displayed on the bench because she started hucking them all off. It’s was a pretty hilarious sight until she fell off the bench onto her bum. She was okay…just spooked.

She’s a very talented lady, for sure.

Lol, I believe it! Kate climbs me when I try to trim her nails, it’s insane. I’ll have her in my lap and she just plants in her toes and climbs up my shirt all the way so she’s half on top of my head. If we weren’t both so terrified it would be cute.

Haha! She obviously had to get to those bunnies!!! LOL

Eddie used to climb. I have a picture of him at the top of stacked boxes from when I moved from my first apartment. I’ll have to see if I can find it. lol My dad had to make me a wood plank to put on top of his cage a few days after I got him cause the stinker climbed up his cage and was sitting on top of it when I went to check on him. LOL I had his cage attached to a pen but the top of his cage wasn’t blocked cause I knew nothing of rabbits and didn’t know they could/would climb. hahaha

Both Eddie and Lolli have fallen off things. Usually it’s the couch cause they miscalculated their jumps and don’t quite make it up. LOL

Monkey has climbed out of the pen before, luckily she seems to have forgotten how

Hehe yes they do climb ! I had blocked an area I didn’t want Powder on so he couldn’t jump, so he hooked his front paws on it and climbed instead. They are stubborn little things when they want something.

I remember Pip making a popcorn binky once that nearly cleared the top of the xpen. If she’d been on a lateral trajectory, she’d be halfway to Abu Dhabi right now.
Mimzy of late seems to think he’s Sir Edmund Hilary, as every time his pen door is opened, he’s hopped right up on it and then plans on scaling Mt. Bunny Slave. Drives me nuts because especially with his weaker back legs he doesn’t seem to realize, or care, how dangerous that is.

Makes me wonder where he’s thinking of planting a flag. 0_o

ALL my buns, when out on the bed for grooming and nail trims, believe it would be much more fun to run up the sides of my plushies that are piled nearby. Honestly, if they ever did get loose in there, I’d have a hard time sussing out which were the real bunnies and which the fakes!

Before I made a lid for her pen, Momo would jump partway up and then climb her way out and onto the couch her pen is next to. She also loves to climb on the backs of our couches and zoom around up there like a cat.

Rufus climbs my cat scratching pole which is hollow on the inside and up he goes, can’t get to the top as you have to jump from a leaf to the very top but gets onto the top leaf which freaked me out!
