I came home from work last night and was informed that he bought Lolli some lettuce.  It was a smaller contain of her baby spring mix that was clearanced out.  I haven’t opened it yet and will have to make sure it’s still good but it was a sweet thing to do.  Considering that 2 weeks ago, he told me I was feeding her way too much lettuce.  LOL  He doesn’t do anything with her and I still not supposed to have her out of her pen, but I was very surprised anyways.  Now……maybe, just maybe he will eventually let her out of her pen.

Bunnies have that effect on people.

Even if the lettuce doesn’t look good… pretend that you gave it to her and that she loved it. Wouldn’t want to have his gesture spurned, lol. My dad doesn’t really ‘get’ bunnies either but within a week of being at their house for a visit, he started talking to them in a baby voice everytime he went downstairs (where they were in their pen) to get something. It was funny. Bunnies are ultimately irresistable, it just takes some longer than others.

that’s great news, yes, make him think that was the greatest lettuce in the world! now, if you could manage to smear a bit of banana on his hand before he goes down there he might get a lick or two and that would definitely be the end for him.

Hehe bunnies are just too cute to NOT love, even if people are sometimes stubborn about it. My boyfriend initially wasn’t thrilled with the rabbit idea, he thought they were boring, cage-only rodents (to which I proved to him they are NOT rodents). Now he lays in the floor and pets them and gives them grass and the other day he was laying in the floor with Powder with his forehead against Powder’s giving him kisses and nose pets

Maybe next your grandfather can give them some apple or banana ;D
