So Abby had to be put on another 2 weeks of Baytril for her URI.  Today was her last day and I noticed that her left eye was red and had been a little runny the past few days.  She had also lost weight even though she’s been eating a lot.

The vet said she look very good.  She said I need to increase her pellets back up to 3/4 cup a day instead of the 1/2 cup she was down to because she lost 1.7 lbs in 2-3 weeks.  She now is only 10 lbs.  She also said that the tissue around her eye was irritated.  She thinks it might be an infection.  So she’s now on a 2 week treatment with eye drops 3 times a day.  She said if that didn’t clear it up that I would need to take her some where that can do a dental x-ray to make sure it wasn’t caused from her teeth. 

Other than that, she’s been doing really good.  She been much more active the past few days and I’ve even seen some binkies!
