hi guys
we’ve had joseph for almost a month now and he still seems really suspicious of us (especially me). He won’t even accept his favourite treat from me, and everytime i approach him he runs away. He doesn’t seem to enjoy head pats etc.
We have been letting him out in the house alternatively with hershey. He has established his own little spots in the house, generally where hershey hasn’t been. He doesn’t venture to places that she has been, and when we place him there (e.g. the couch), he just sits there in fear.
I want him to be comfortable and happy with us, but it’s taking a while!
Also, I’ve noticed that he is more active when he thinks we’re not looking.
He’s also having some bonding sessions in neutral terrirtory with hershey, however she is the bad biting bun out of the two. So he must be traumatised! (although he also wants to be the boss! silent but firm
) they live in the same room, separated by a pen/nic cubes.
Anything else we can do to make him feel at home?
