  we’ve had joseph for almost a month now and he still seems really suspicious of us (especially me). He won’t even accept his favourite treat from me, and everytime i approach him he runs away. He doesn’t seem to enjoy head pats etc.
  
  We have been letting him out in the house alternatively with hershey. He has established his own little spots in the house, generally where hershey hasn’t been. He doesn’t venture to places that she has been, and when we place him there (e.g. the couch), he just sits there in fear.
  
  I want him to be comfortable and happy with us, but it’s taking a while!
  
  Also, I’ve noticed that he is more active when he thinks we’re not looking.
  
  He’s also having some bonding sessions in neutral terrirtory with hershey, however she is the bad biting bun out of the two. So he must be traumatised! (although he also wants to be the boss! silent but firm ) they live in the same room, separated by a pen/nic cubes.
  
  Anything else we can do to make him feel at home?

  If that helps I’ve seen a lot of suggestions from other people just to sit on the floor and ignore the bun. Eventually they get use to people and get curious as to what you’re doing there

  It could take a few months. It took my bunny a few months to even sit near me, or even want to ask for pets…

  My female bun growls and grunts at me with I get near her or try petting. I have been feeding with one hand and petting with the other. Almost all pellets are fed this way with her. I also sit down on the floor and feed all veges one at a time. This is done everyday. Sometimes I pen her in with me during the feeding so she can’t run too far. It’s also been a month with my two and the female will now stand on me, even though it’s just for a few secs. The past few days I could get one pet in without a growl, grunt, swatting, or running away, SCORE!

  It takes a while and I know how frustrating that can be-but he will warm up to you.
  
  Ensure all interactions are positive-grab a magezine or a laptop and lay or sit on the ground. He’ll come close. instead of grabbing for him throw down a treat and ignore him. You’ll have a trusting rabbit in no time
