so today we had a first bonding session in the room where the buns are going to be staying.  they currently each have their own cage and the room is spilt in half so we did the bonding session in the middle of the room in a pen.  it went pretty smoothly except Daisy who we recently got seemed a little more aggresive today where it is usually our boy Dash doing most of the nipping.  So after the bonding session it was Daisy’s turn to roam the house and she didnt seem to really want to leave her cage and when we tried giving her toys she would pull whatever toy we put in front of her back under her and sometimes grunt and basically sit on it she had a pretty big pile of toys under her at one point lol i have never seen her do this and was wondering if this is a sign of something?

hatching eggs or maybe she was showing her dominance over the toys? I know bunnies will lay across another to show they’re the boss, maybe she’s practicing 😉

Is Daisy spayed?  Do you know what age she is?

Oh that’s good. Maybe she sees her cage as her haven (a good thing) and was wanting time out. I had though if she was not spayed that you might be seeing some signs of a false pregnancy.

Otto would sometimes be an in angry mood after bonding – I think it’s probably a normal reaction to the stress and just wanting to be left alone for a little bit.
