As a first-time bunny owner, I am very diligent about Luigi’s health. The littlest things drive me crazy!
For instance, when I adopted about a month ago (wow time flies!) I was told he was in bad health when they first got him, most notibly a bad case of ear mites. So the teeny tiny scab looking thing in his ear, I assumed, was from the mites he had. You can see it in the picture below, in his left ear halfway to the tip, it’s hard to notice.

He seems to be a very healthy rabbit. He eats well and poops and pees regularly, but this morning he was a bit off. Normally when I open his cage door when I wake up, he can’t wait to dart out. But he stayed in his cage all morning. I did see him eating so I suppose that is a good sign.
Later in the day, I noticed him under my bed (a usual spot for him) and it seemed like he was nodding off. But I coaxed him out and I saw that his head was slightly tilted. Nothing like the horror stories I’ve seen but it was noticable. It also seemed like one eye was more open than the other. Annnd then about an hour ago, when I put him back into his cage for bed, he stood very still after I plopped him down which is again, unlike him.
The only real changes to his environment is instead of shutting my door, I put up a baby gate since it’s so hot but that means that my dogs crowd the doorway and cry and whine at him, so maybe it’s making him nervous? And I also rearranged my room a bit.
I must seem a bit looney writing all this but I’m so concerned for the little guy! Am I just being silly or should I have him checked out?
