  So I heard about a local anti-fur conference in the DC area through Meetup, and being huge on animal rights and in the area for the summer anyway, I’m going. So I sent the coordinator a message on Meetup to ask if I could help out. Now, I should probably tell you that my Meetup profile for the group says I have pet bunnies, and that my profile picture is of me cradling Link like he’s a baby. She replied that one of the key speakers is a rabbit advocate! Apparently the founder of rabbitwise.org (which I hadn’t heard of until Saturday, when HJ pointed out their bumper sticker on a car at the wedding we were at and I looked it up), which is a rabbit education non-profit, is speaking at the conference. I’m super excited now!

  Great! I would love to go to something like that. I’m about as anti-fur as you can get. Nothing makes me madder than seeing some old broad dressed head to toe in dead animal.
  
  Rabbit Wise is a great organization, I have them on Facebook and check their website regularly. I used to help out the website by finding and sending them links to stores that sold rabbit fur.

  My stance on fur is the only time it’s ever okay to wear is if it’s a) grown by you, on your skin, or b) shedded onto you I wear the latter quite often.
