I work at a grocery store and I get to see everybody’s eating habits and food choices. There was one week where I saw a lot of the new chip flavors by Lays. I’m not much of a chip fan anymore (thanks Food, INC for opening my eyes up lol), but this flavor seemed so yummy…
I’ve never been one to love tomatoes.. in fact, my mom told me that she ate a lot of raw tomatoes while she was pregnant with me perhaps that is where my dislike of tomatoes come from
. Anyways, THE CHIPS are delish!
Tastes like tomato soup with a touch of basil
I also like yogurt (mixed berry is favorite), luna bars, green tea, green tea ice cream, pineapple, watermelon, cheesecake
I will not be held responsible for hunger pains this topic gives off
oh those sound very good!!!!
my #1 snack of choice would have to dill pickles with garlic right out of the jar!! i can pound back a jar, i mean the big jars, in no time!! they are sooo good!! i also love yogurt with granola, chips i will eat once in awhile, i live candy and chocolate and pistachios and corn nuts, plain salted. and cookies! i love cookies, my nickname was cookie monster in college.
Oh, yogurt with granola is a must need
I love it! I also like almonds or a peanut mix!
Oh great Brittany, I was already hungry but now I’m starving!! I recently made a peanut butter & grape nuts power bar that was amazing (must make more!). I also love smoothies, any fresh fruit, sour cream & onion chips, oreos and Chobani greek yogurt.
Ginju, my bf is obsessed with pickles too! He pretty much always has those large jars of whole pickles in his apartment and any time we go to a sandwich shop he makes me order a pickle, even though I hate them, just so he can have an extra one. Seriously I think he has a problem
Now excuse me while I go find something to snack on…
I love kashi bars, they’re awesome! http://www.kashi.com/
I don’t eat chips or junk food and everything is organic soo my snacks consist of bananas, grapes, and orange juice! looovee me some orange juice!
Lani, how about them nori popcorn?
Lizzy, have you tried Simply Orange?
i’ve been addicted to these for the past month!
I’m not much for healthy snacks.. although I do like soem tasty strawberries or kiwi
Mostly, I snack of stuff liek popcorn, or ice cream, or chips.

i don’t know where you work
oh! and this is the best ice cream ever:
Freddys
Red Velvet.. .. *drools*
i like the americone dream, or triple caramel chunk one. mmmm caramel
bunbun nail trimmers \\//
LOL Mike, that looks like the best dinner ever.
I was curious about the tomato and basil chips (they’re so goooood) so I looked them up; apparently Lay’s released a line of “regionally-inspired flavors” with different flavors that are only available in limited areas, but the tomato and basil chips were so popular they expanded the distribution nationally.
LoveChaCha, I’m not a huge popcorn person but when I have a craving, yes nori popcorn all the way! And spam musubi. So so awful for you but I can’t help it

Now I really really want some! Guess I’ll be making it tomorrow

My friend puts the spam in soy sauce heh. I’m not a soy sauce fan, but it does add flavor to the spam. I don’t have it a lot. I miss eating my mom’s musubi
Ahhh! red velvet ice cream?!?!?! I must find that soon lol. I have been snacking on a lot of wheat pita and spicy pepper hummus lately but I love lightly salted lays chips too. I would eat sushi everyday if I could afford it too.
I like some sushi, but can’t stand spam. yuck!
I’ll have to try the tomato-basil lays and I’ll watch for other releases of their regional lines, although my favorite potato chip is cheddar potato pop chips which I buy at my Walgreens. I also like Safeway’s spinach dip with waterchestnuts on fresh, crusty sourdough bread baguettes (I live in San Francisco). MMMMMM! Red Velvet Ice Cream? Sounds delicious! Right now I have in my freezer banana split flavored ice cream.
I’ve had red velvet cake here and there, but honestly I have yet to understand what’s different about it as opposed to “normal” cake. To me, it’s kind of like your typical cake, but red. However, there’s this coffeeshop/bakery around here (with a gorgeous riverside view) that serves the most amazing red velvet cheesecake. No idea exactly what makes it red velvet flavored, but all I know is that it’s pretty darn tasty, lol.
Never had red velvet cake. Actually never heard of it.
For a healthy snack my fave is berries. I love berries especially raspberries. But my big junk food weaknesses are soft chocolate chip cookies and Ruffles with Dill Pickle Dip, I never keep these things in the house for that reason. And just dill pickles. Love pickles. I’m a big popcorn fan too. I air-pop it and I have a bunch of different flavour shakers to put on it.
Now I’m hungry.
I really love to make stuffed grape leaves with dried cranberries, rice, and pine nuts, and munch on them all day. Also Muhammara, it’s spicy dip made out of various peppers, walnuts, with a little pomegranate and it’s awesome! IMHO, the best ben and jerry’s flavor is Phish Food followed by Caramel Sutra I usually treat myself to Ben and Jerry’s twice a year, at the end of each semester. But I definitely remember back in my undergrad days occassionally sitting around with my girlfriends and having a pint for dinner, lol. Also PICKLES! Not everyday, but when I get a craving I must have pickles and will eat a jar at once. I also occassionally like a couple of garlic stuffed olives or a pepperochini.
I’m not much of a snacker and I don’t really eat between meals (snacking is a slippery slope for me!). I love having snack and appetizer type food at parties though since I don’t let myself eat them usually. I generally like salty things like chips (only the plain ones though – I can’t eat the flavored ones anymore after I worked in food and way too many flavored pretzels and crackers). Chips and salsa are great too. I like some desserts, usually the homemade ones that my mom made growing up. I don’t eat cookies normally, but I could eat more than a dozen of hers or a whole loaf of banana bread. Yum. I rarely bake things because I know I’ll eat them until they’re gone!
BEST GRAHAM CRACKERS EVER!
I also love ice cream. Ben & Jerry’s is my favorite! I think I’ve tried every flavor except for the new Jimmy Fallon one.
if Ben and Jerry had gone into sandwich-making instead of ice cream,, we’d have subs with names like “Dijon Lennon”
I LOVE annie’s cookies! and it helps that it is bunny shaped
I love a lot of japanese snack foods. My home made strawberry daifuku is absolutely awesome! I also like fruits, chocolate, fruits covered in chocolate, chips on occasion, granola bars from time to time, candy is always good. Sometimes I go for long bouts of time with no snacks, other times I don’t even do meals. I just graze all day.
I forgot about Japanese snacks. I love ramune, and sweet potato kitkat.. it is so.. omg o_O
We have a small Japanese grocery with sushi bar by my house. Let’s just say we have quite the collection of ramune bottles in our house. I remember when I had my first ever ramune at an anime con. I got thirsty during a panel on fanfiction and decided to open and drink it. I exploded it all over and got a lot of laughs from people. My favorite is the strawberry! My husband also loves pocky and buys the giant packs of it.
Have you seen this youtube channel yet? I LOOOOVE it!
http://www.youtube.com/user/cookingwithdog?blend=1&ob=4
I’m not a fan of Pocky so much. I love the hamburger snack.. it has dark chocolate in the middle. I forgot the name of it. I LOVE all types of ramune
I’m a huge fan of maeda-en’s green tea ice cream. I bought haagen daaz’s brand green tea ice cream and wanted to puke. So much sugar ><!!
I love Annie’s! My boyfriend thinks I’m crazy because everytime I go to the food co-op I come back with bunny shaped crackers, cereals, and mac and cheese that’s shaped like peace signs and have a hippy bunny on the package. lol. In his words, “Someone could make bunny shaped cow poop and you’d buy it!”
Love Annie’s products! Their mac & cheese is my favorite now, though sometimes DH demands Kraft (boooo).
For all you Ben & Jerry’s lovers, I just got an email today that they’re hiring a product developer! If anyone wants to move to Burlington and make ice cream for a living, now’s your chance.
lol @ Elrohwen…While my hub and I were living in California (around Pismo beach) there was an ad for an ice cream taste-tester at Dreyer’s in the Bay Area. It was really hard to turn down that one and move all the way back up there…bwahaha.
No fun Japanese snack places here. Boo. I would love to try daifuku. I know there’s one in Hilo in Hawaii where my dad used to live. I’ve been wanting to try mochi forever!
My current have to have onhand snacks are these new Tostitos chips that are called Artisan Black Bean and Garlic. NOM. I’ll eat a whole bag at a sitting.
I think Cherry Garcia is my favorite Ben & Jerry’s. When I was wee, my dad would take me to an ice cream shop called Shaw’s and I’d always get at least one scoop of their burgundy cherry, which Cherry Garcia is the closest to it I’ve found since.
I think it was Foster’s that used to make a really good chocolate chocolate chip ice cream. That was years ago though.
I really don’t think I’ve been able to enjoy milk products since California’s Pier’s Dairy went out of business years ago. And there is NOWHERE on earth to get really good french bread but San Francisco. The best bakery was Larabura’s. They’re long gone too. ~_~
Man…now I feel like a fat fossil….. 0_o;;

For what it’s worth, I’d probably buy it too .
I need some bunny cookies! Never seen those. The US has a lot of food we don’t have here. I love going shopping in the grocery stores when I go to Maine. I’m a big cereal nut and I buy all kinds of fun cereal that we don’t have here. Yeah, the kiddy kinds! I love Trix and Pebbles. We had those when I was a kid but not anymore. I usually leave the grocery store with like 12 boxes of cereal! I only go to the states like once a year max.
Just bought some ice-cream last night. Individual servings sizes called “Skinny Cow”. Very yummy and guilt-free. There’s like 1.5 grams of fat per serving. I tend to enjoy something more when I’m not thinking of how fattening it is. I’m sort of on a low carb/low sugar kick.
Skinny Cow makes really good ice cream sandwiches too!
Yes I love those!!! I bought some last week on sale.

I LOVE THOSE!
We bought a bag last week and my husband (who is supposed to be on a DIET!!!) ate the whole darn bag and left me a few crumbs in the bottom.
Is it bad that I still ate the crumbs…
I’m already starving and came into this thread to torture myself. I still have an hour and fifteen minutes until lunch! Wahhh. Need bunny cookies now.
