I’m still waiting for my package. The tracking says it won’t be here until Thursday. Is it normally that slow?

LBJ10 – I think it depends on where you live. When I’ve ordered, it’s taken 4-5 business days. And that’s not counting the last time where Fedex created a new “front door” someplace other than my front door. LOL

I’m getting antsy because I ordered a tunnel for them. I was just going to order the hair buster comb, but since the shipping was $10 I figured I had better order some other stuff to make it worth it. I’m excited to see if they like it now.

Location can definitely make a difference. It can also depend on what day you ordered. We ship out on Mon, Wed, Fri. So for example if someone orders on a Monday afternoon after the orders have gone out, it won’t get shipped out until Wednesday. The worst is if you order on Friday late afternoon. It won’t get shipped out until Monday since Fedex doesn’t pick up on weekends.

LBJ10, if you message me or email me with your first and last name and/or order number, I can try and figure out what is going on with your order.

woot I just ordered a maze haven, a tunnel, and a willow tent! I can’t wait to put them all up!

BB – I was given tracking info from FedEx, it just says it won’t be here until Thursday. That will be a week from when I placed the order. Maybe I’m just used to ordering from Zappos and Amazon, that stuff always arrives fast!

Hm, that must be a FedEx thing. I got my package in 3 days and was 2 states away! On the flip side, I despise Amazon because their shipping is always terrible.

Amazon is RIDICULOUS on shipping for me too. Heck, I usually upgrade the shipping and it STILL takes them 2 weeks to get to me.

Really? I’ve never had a problem with Amazon. I usually get my stuff within a couple days.

You should have seen me with a 25lb box of hay.. I was not there, so I had to pick it up at the apartment office.. it was not fun, but I am glad it made my little girl happy

Ugh, I can’t stand Amazon! I’ve even paid for 2nd day shipping and it took A WEEK before the item was even shipped out!!! I try to avoid Amazon at all costs and most of the time, I’m on eBay.
But I’ve been very surprised with BB shipping and how good it is. I don’t really shop anywhere else for my rabbits except for getting their pellets at the store every few months.

My package came today! A whole day early! I have to wait for the AC repairman to leave though so I can let the rabbits in their room. Then they can help me open the box and see what’s inside!

Man are you kidding, I have amazon prime and it’s free 2 day shipping but I usually get things the next day! Overnight for me is only $3.99… I hate to buy from anywhere else but I do sometimes to support small business.

Just to let you know, they love the Tunnel Haven I got them! I sat it down and they immediately started running through it. They are so cute! I hung one of their hanging toys on the end too, so hopefully they will play with it a little more now. =D

I have noticed that the shipping IS better if you pay for the amazon prime membership. I had it for a year and shipping was relatively fast. But I refused to pay for it after a year and now whenever I order things occasionally, it seems to take forever. Just my experience though.

How exciting.  I wish I would have known who you were when you ordered (as we keep the store accounts separate from membership accounts).  I would have written a little hello note on your order.    some members will write in the order comments who they are in the forum, and I’ll draw some goofy little rabbit face or write something silly or  fill your surprise gift (that’s in every order) just a little bit fuller.

Well I could not order everyday from bb but I like this site & would like to support it. I could have spent less on another site but then I do not trust the quality of what my bun is eating or playing with I trust that bb is caring for their items so that they get repeat business. The shipping is normal for fedex but it would be nice if USPS was offered for less even if it took longer. But I will still try to order from bb when I have a little extra. we are so excited for new food & hay!

Thanks so much for supporting us!   Your concerns about Fedex are common and we really need to put some more info in our store somewhere about this because people may be surprised to know that we get a Fedex Ground business discount and our shipping rates are usually equal to if not less than USPS.    (shipping has been more expensive for most carriers as of late due to gas price hikes) 

We used to use USPS, but they were so horrible with customer service and tracking and they gave a permanent price hike up over a year ago.   I know people have had bad experiences with both, but when we were using both, it was insane how terrible USPS was in comparison.  So when we started receiving our Fedex Ground business discounts and they matched or beat USPS the majority of the time, we dropped USPS except for Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. Those are the only areas that USPS does not beat our Fedex Ground Rates.

The only time that USPS Parcel Post is cheaper (and it’s not by much), is if you order one or two little items.  But the majority of people do order larger amounts just because they want to get more bang for their shipping buck and we found that USPS was actually more expensive with the majority of those kinds of orders.    

And of course rates will be cheaper if where you are ordering from businesses (or their warehouse hubs) that  are closer to you. 

Being that we are in California, it can be more expensive to ship across country.  But we care very much about our customers and the quality of the products we sell…plus, we can add in some ocean air for free.

Yeah, the neat thing about that $80 is that my brother bought te prime, and you can add 5 friends to prime. The other thing is, I can order huge items like my 48″ x pen that was probably over 40lbs for no extra cost. I think people totally understand what’s going on. I wouldn’t worry too much because amazon sells next to no rabbit products at all. You guys and busy bunny are it for rabbit stuff! You are also probably lucky Busybunny is totally out of stock for tons of their stuff. I was shopping around because I can’t find this collapsable Timothy hut with hinges I have from somewhere… My bunnies destroyed it lol.

BB, I will remember that next time. Thanks! As for Amazon, the prime account isn’t too bad if you actually use it. I also like to shop at Zappos. I have a VIP account (which is free to have) and they ship stuff to you overnight for free. And if I don’t like it, then I can ship it back for free too. Not sure how they can afford that, but I sure as heck like it!

I usually purchase my supplies from the local rescue/shelter…they don’t have rock bottom prices, but the prices aren’t bad either and I think it’s nice to support their work. However, once the bunnies have a lot more room to roam in a few months I’m thinking about putting in an order for a fun cardboard play structure .

I got my Bunspace order the other day. I ordered some apple twigs, flower petals and pineapple.

Bunnies are frustrating!!! I’ve been buying apple twigs at the pet store but I worry about whether there are chemicals or whatever on them, so I liked the idea that the Bunspace twigs are organic and much cheaper. I got them and was so excited because they are huge and an awesome deal and they are totally not interested in them. Bindi chewed a bit of it but usually they chew the twigs until they are like tooth pics. You try to buy them something nice….the stinkers. Oh, well the shelter bunnies will have a nice treat.

LPT — Sometimes the diameter of the twig and how smooth it is (not enough notches)can make difference too. As some bunnies have a difficult time sinking their teeth on something that is smoother with a curved surface. Not sure if that is what happened with your or not, but you can try and cut in a few notches to create easier starting places. Just a thought!

I don’t mind paying for amazon prime, I get things in two days, sometimes one, and I feel like I get more than my money’s worth.  Between all of the books for class and research and all of the stuff I buy there because it’s easier to order it than to get to a store without a car, I order a lot of stuff. Ultimately on somer bigger stuff, that saves me money because I’d have to pay for a cab to get home.  The UPS and Fedex people pretty much know me by name, lol.  And now they stream tv and movies if you have a membership, so it’s like free two day shipping plus a netflix membership in one. But unless you order a lot or really like BBC television programs (which they seem to have a deal with, I think 2/3 or what they stream tv wise is from the BBC), or like their selection of streamable stuff better than netflix, the $80 a year isn’t worth it.  

I just got a binky bunny package the other day too!  I have yet to try out my new brush, but Spencer has eaten half of his willow cube already.  He actually got his head stuck in it yesterday.  Doofus.  I wish I’d gotten a picture, but I was too worried (needlessly of course) that he might hurt himself.  They are also fond of the box, I made a little house of it and the packing paper.  Kate likes it a lot.
