I think Gabby has officially come out of her shell here. She’s always let us pet her and loves my daughter. She seems to be feeling more at home since her spay surgery. She waits at the gate we have between the kitchen/dining room and our living room like she is begging to come play with us in here. She’ll stretch her legs out and lay like that all the time in the living room too, even out in the open.

She’s learned when I’m washing veggies and will wait on them close to me. If I make a clicky noise with my tongue she runs for whatever treat or veggie I have for her. Every so often in the evening she starts running stark raving mad through the living room. She literally does super fast circles and binkies and then jumps on the chair/ottoman and does super fast circles and binkies on it. She’ll do it several times and then has to go take a rest.

When we come home she comes out from her little nest under our dining room table and seems to greet us from being gone. Since being more free range she lets me pet her more often than before the spay. I think she’s realizing this is her forever home now and it’s okay to be her “true” self now.

Just thought I’d share how much I love my bunny and I think she’s learning to love us too.

Well I love that you love her so much! It’s wonderful when it’s obvious they enjoy your company. I don’t get how some people say they are solitary animals.

I have several animals before Gabby came along. But now I think our home is complete with her in it.

I was in the part of the house where Gabby is and I was feeding and watering my birds and then went in to clean Gabby’s litter box and refill food and water. Every so often I would feel something on my bare foot or a slight movement to my pant’s leg and every time I looked down Gabby was right by my feet. That’s the first time she’s ever followed me around like that. I love it.

I hope she knows how much I absolutely adore her. She adds more sunshine to my days.

I’m so glad to hear that she is opening up and realizing that she is in her forever home!

I agree so much with what jerseygirl said…sometimes, I really wonder how people can think that rabbits are unsociable and boring! Not to mention, I feel like my bunnies are so wonderful and they make me so happy that it boggles my mind how *anybody* could have *ever* given them up (mine are rescues too). Who knows, but it’s their loss!
