So.. I’ve been using my job as a cashier to my advantage …….

To educate people about rabbits …..

I have ran into… 2 rabbit people.. both are older people …

One who adopted a boy and girl from the shelter (spayed and neutered), but is having a hard time bonding. I didn’t have enough time to tell her about BB, as there were other customers in the back of the line, but I told her “Bath tub, it is neutral.”

I have also ran into some not pleasant people… saying their rabbit was always aggressive (this happened when the customer was younger) and had babies and was still aggressive. So I told her why the girl was aggressive.. and I bet we can figure out that one on our own

Anyways, the lady who is trying to bond her 2 bunnies said she saw something on TV this morning about rabbits and easter. The program stated: Rabbits are good pets, but make sure you do your research before getting one.

It feels like our contribution to rabbit welfare is slowly spreading..

I was at a local pet store yesterday and a woman was holding a baby bunny for her very small child to pet. I told her about all the bunnies that people will be turning it due to them getting bigger and no longer wanted and she may want to wait a month or two to find one needing to be rehomed. I told her my rabbit was newly spayed and very sweet. I gave her the binkybunny website to look up more info on rabbits. She was really nice and thanked me for the website name.

Good for you  Spreading the BB love!  I read somewhere that 90% of Easter bunnies do not see their 1st birthday  The 1st birthday is so enjoyable

Also, this one lady left me speecheless. She said when her sons were younger, they found an abandoned domestic rabbit and took it in. It destroyed everything and they put the rabbit in a hutch . When her sons got tired of the rabbit, they dumped it at her husband’s work – MICROSOFT

            It made me SO ANGRY

Also, a mom with 3 girls were buying a bunch of candy with rabbits on the packages. I asked “Do your girls like rabbits?” She said yes. We talked and talked and she said she would rather give them chocolate rabbits than a real rabbit
