I moved out to my dad’s this weekend.  I’m struggling really bad with my depression right now.  Nothing like moving in with a parent to make you feel like a loser.  lol  I don’t have a lot unpacked yet cause I’m recooping from packing.  ha!

Lolli is downstairs in my old bedroom.  She’s not too happy about being in her pen all the time now.  But my dad is adamant she stays in it.  Her area is about 4×6, maybe a bit bigger.  I lay on the floor with every night like I did at my apartment.  I’m trying to keep everything the same.   I stop in and talk to her.  Probably driving her nuts like I did at the apartment.  LOL

So all is going well for us.

Honestly, don’t think about it like that. It gives me a sense of security knowing I could move in with my parents if I ever needed. I’m thankful for that and hope I can give them that same sense in future years as they age. You said in the other thread, maybe the way things are going with your employment is a life opportunity. That’s such a posistive approach and you can look at moving in with your Dad in a positive way also.

You and Lolli will both adjust. We’re just like them, change is pretty unsettling.

I’m just in a bad place with my depression. Real bad. I know I am very very fortunate and blessed that I have parents who are willing to help me out. But I have no money right now and I’m 31 years old and I have medical problems that don’t seem to have an origin and it’s all just really, really, really getting to me.

I’m pretty sure Lolli is adjusting better than me. LOL But she always did like change. She gets excited when I move furniture around. LOL I just wish I could her let out. Maybe after a couple of months when my dad gets more used to her being here. He was very anti-indoor when I first talked to him about having her in the house. So the fact he’s letting her be in the house at all is great. I’m not pushing it or anything.

I get it. Speaking from experience, I know you have not let those thoughts go round and round because it makes bad worse. I don;t know if you’ve had therapy for depression but if you have, do you have notes on techniques to help do that? Breaking that cyclic thought patterns?

Sorry Michelle, if my questions are too personal.

Edit: Here’s a silver lining. You still have internet access and BinkyBunny!

Personal Depression is the pits, I know…I’ll say a prayer for you that your life at your Dad’s will be as stress-free as possible. You have a good head on your shoulders. Don’t let it get you too down. You’ll look back on this time and say, “Whoa! Why didn’t I just take it easy and enjoy myself more…so do (to the extent you can) HUGS

Things work out, though it may seem not soon enough, they will!

                    (((Hugs)))

I am so thankful that you have a place to go, and that Lolli, although limited, has a safe warm pen protected from the elements. This is what matters.

                      Thank you everyone.

I have had therapy so I know how to turn the thoughts around. It’s just very hard for me to do right now. But I’ll get there.
