Just wanted to share something I built for my bunnies!  I used two identical cardboard boxes (from buying hay) and a cement form tube from Home Depot.  I cut the cardboard tube, cut out circles (I traced the size of the cardboard tube) in the boxes, cut out several doors in both boxes, and stuck the boxes together with the tube.  They LOVE it!  Bailey has turned it into a big project- she’s having a blast shredding the cardboard (and the grass mat I tied to the ex pen).  I stuck Logan’s pet bed in one box, and that’s where he spends a good 80% of his time.  It’s perfect, because Bailey needs to have big projects (else she invents her own ), and Logan needs to have a quiet, safe place. They both like to run from box to box through the tube. I left the tops of the boxes open so that Bailey can’t hop on top and jump over the pen- plus then I can see where they are and what they’re up to!  This was a really inexpensive and easy project, and they think it’s great fun.

Bailey says, “check out my digging skills!  Do you like my decorating?”

thanks mocha! I was worried about it taking up so much space, but they do spend a lot of time in there, and they also get more exercise because they’re constantly running through the tube (and Bailey’s constantly trying to destroy it, lol), so I left it in there.

Ooo. I like it. My daughter and I like to put cardboard boxes together and make “castles for the buns. We are just sure the tape is at places that the buns wont ches ( not by the holes or on the floor). Its fun for everyone involved – bunny slaves ( big and little ) as well as buns.

aww thanks guys!  I’m flattered!  They really do love this thing.  Someday (when I’m not living in a dorm room!) I’m going to build an actual bunny playground.  I think they would like to have another level with more tubes to crawl in and safe places to lounge around.

*I also have better instructions on Bailey’s blog: http://www.therabbitreview.blogspot.com/20…-week.html
