  FINALLY got pics of my skink LeeLoo (fifth element reference if you haven’t seen it WATCH IT)
  
  She is a big girl in both weight and length lol trying to get her to lose weight but she is soooo lazy and loves her food.
  
  19″ and still has a little growing to do. She is an Irian Jaya Blue Tongue Skink I got a pic of her bright blue tongue but my computer seems to have eaten it.
  
  She was snoozing and was not happy that I uncovered her for pictures
  
  Don’t have a full picture of her (battery died) but she weighs about 700 grams (should weigh between 300-500) lol so yeah she is a chunk.
  
  Sleeeeping (lense made it foggy sorry bout that)
  
  Hiding again after hissing at me to go back to sleep lol.

  Very cool! I looked up pictures of other blue tongued skinks on google just to see what the rest of her body must look like. Haha

  Yeah she is really easy to handle and will often fall asleep in my lap they are very personable lizards. They are generally lazy but she loves to come out and explore.

  i have a friend who has always wanted a skink. i have a hard time wrapping my brain around the idea of a “personable” lizard, but that’s what a lot of skink owners seem to say!

  That sounds really cool! I really wanted a personable lizard as a kid, but I got anoles and they were crazy and not into the handling.

  I have only met a few aggressive BTS and they were both the Tanimbar type who are known for aggression. But most if tamed when young are really personable and quite friendly. Leeloo is very much a “people lizard” she wants to be around people all of the time and gets quite grumpy when I put her back in her tank.
  
  I had anoles for all of 2 seconds lol they were insane little creatures.

  What a coooooooool pet. Looks like a living dinosaur. So neat that she lets you handle her!

  Lol OMG LeeLoo! Or “Leeloo Minai Lekarariba-Laminai-Tchai Ekbat De Sebat”. I have seen The Fifth Element so many times I can recite the entire script LOL.
