Due to customs, it can be extremely difficult to get products imported to Australia.  I understand…it’s difficult to escape some nasty little pest , that may have caught a ride on the ship over, when you are surrounded by water!    Our distributor has found a way to get some favorite chew toys imported in…plus, our maze and tunnel too.

I was excited to see that happen as every week I have to tell an Australian bunny slave that we do not ship to Australia.  Now at least, I will be able to give them a link to a rabbit store from down under.

EDITED TO ADD:  ehhhhh…..might be helpful if I provide the link to the Australian store

How did you manage to get the willow stuff to be imported to Australia? I was talking to SACRA about this the other day, every time I try to get something wooden into Australia it gets confiscated We are not allowed wood or willow

It’s nice the bunny people down under can have the same stuff we can for the bunnies!

…my god, the price difference though. Gotta love import fees and customs!

I dont’ know how they did it —our distributor I mean. (busybunny).  The wood and willow comes from them, but I do know it’s been a long process for them.  I think that when it’s a business to business and it’s shipped in bulk, they can can quality control one big shipment instead of ton of little ones.

But yowza….the prices are sure stiff. (as when I did a U.S. vs Australian $$ rate on google), it was expensive.  I can’t imagine the import fees!  Plus the mazes do weigh quite a bit.

Well, it’s just nice to see more good rabbit-specific products available. It’s been so limited in Aust.

Perhaps the willow items are irradiated? I read on a forum that much of the Oxbow products available here go through this process. Not 100% sure on that. The poster that mentioned this was talking about the value of (or lack of) probiotics after this process.

One day, when business is booming, Binky Bunny could expand to some off-shore manufacturing and be able provide everybun everywhere with a maze haven etc. World domination and all that!
