        Hey good people ,

I didn’t see a “health section” so I just post it here , My bun is 4 now and we just discovered a significant lumb directly under the lower jaw. Right where the scent gland is located.
I feared right away for cancer , but was hoping is could be a simple infection.

I was wondering if any of you would have an idea what it could be. I feared that maybe the food bowl he uses is too high and that he used his head and the motion of the head as a pulling action , using the chin to pull it toward him for a long time now , could have caused the area under the chin to because tender and so infect … your ideas please

        A Vet’s visit will happen tomorrow ..

        Thank you

        Ralph

          Hi, Ralph,
I honestly think a lump is the result of an internal problem more than what you’ve described. Certainly get a new bowl that is a less difficult shape, since the change won’t hurt and may help. But you’re doing the best thing which is having the vet look at it right away.

Let us know what the vet says. Good luck!

it was an infection of the scent gland , due to a too low feeding bowl , he got some shots and some ointment , gonna change things up , he’ll be ok ..

            Thanks for the concern
