The rabbit rescue holds a Bunny Day at a local children’s museum once a month. It’s for a few hours and they bring a group of rabbits in for the kids to meet and teach families how to properly care for them. This time they offered for us to come with them! I’m so excited. They told me to let them know which ones I wanted to meet and I can spend the whole time hanging out with the bunnies. I’m also going to be taking pictures of the event for them.
I have the dehydrated bananas, strawberries and pineapple all ready to go (don’t think I’ll get to the apples by then). I’m meeting 3 bunnies that I could possibly adopt when I’m up to it. One is a 10 month old Flemish Giant that is already 13 lbs, another is a beautiful REW New Zealand and the last one is a black New Zealand mix.
I’m doing better with my knee. I’m down to 1 crutch and I finally got to a 90 degree bend today! So I’m hopeful I’ll only have to wait a few more weeks. Just for fun I had to add pictures and links for the bunnies I will be meeting.

All those are pretty! You’re gonna have a hard time choosing! The Bunny Day sounds fun.
I’m glad your knee is doing better. It’s no fun not being able to be mobile. I had my knee surgeries when I was a kid and that was bad enough. I couldn’t imagine having to have them now as an adult.
They are beautiful! Hopefully one of them adopts you
Glad your knee si doign better! It’s amazing how difficult it can be not having full use of a leg, but it sure does feel good to get it back!
They are beautiful. Is it me or does Lincoln have a mischievous glint in his eye?
Great news about your knee!
They are all so cute, but Icicle took my breath away! So beautiful!
I’m definitely hoping that one will pick me. I like each one for different reasons.
Glad you are feeling better. They are all beautiful. Icicle is a great name and what a graceful looking rabbit.
They are all so beautiful!!! I think I like the REW the best though! Hope you have lots of fun!!!
I’m so excited I could explode! I can’t wait to get my hands on all those bunnies tomorrow. It’s going to be a long night. lol
Icicle is breath taking. I fell in love with her the second I saw her. They just can’t seem to find anyone that can look past those beautiful eyes.
Lincoln has an incredible personality and loves attention but no one can look past his black fur. They have a hard time adopting out REW and black rabbits. They have both been there since before Christmas =( And of course I love Jill because she a huge Flemish!
Haha I know the feeling…the night before we went to the shelter for the first time to find Peppy a friend, we were so excited!
I knew REWs had a hard time finding homes, but I didn’t know black bunnies did too! I think both are gorgeous, personally ![]()
Dude. Jill. I love giant bunnies!!!! XD they’re so amorous, gentle, non-skittish, and cuddly!! I wanted one but Franz was scared of the giant Flemmies and New Zealands.
Lincoln got adopted! Yay Lincoln!!!!! =)
Yay Lincoln!
I love thema ll. But Jill makes me smile. She looks like she’s about to pop out of that basket like a little bunny jack in a box. Or leap out and shout ‘boo!’ Or maybe start a game of ‘peekaboo’. They’re all so cute and pretty! I hope that they all find good homes! And yay for Lincoln!
Can’t wait to hear how the day went-hope you had a great time with the bunnies and can’t wait to see pics! They are adorable!
Today was great! I enjoyed answering questions and teaching people about house rabbits. I helped as much as I could from a stool right next to Icicle. She is a sweet little girl. She is very shy and timid though and didn’t seem to like grabby hands. So I don’t think she would work out for us to adopt. My girl are way too active for her and I wouldn’t want to stress her like that. She was from a horder situation who let all her rabbits go. I didn’t get to meet Jill but I did meet her sister and her mom. They are bigger than Hugo was! Which is hard for me to believe. Anyway, here are some pictures.
Here is Icicle enjoying her pets

Here are Kelly and Sabrina, mother and daughter Flemish Giants

Floppy and Buterschotch, bonded Hotot and Lop

These are owned by one of the founders of K&R. Her Lop and Polish bonded pair.

This is Junie, she is new and they aren’t sure of her breed.

Here is the baby I got to hold. Ducky! Unfortunately my camera wasn’t with me anymore. So this is his bio pic.

AMY TOO MUCH CUTENESS!!!!!
They are all o cute. Looks like fun. I love Ducky’s ears!
Ducky would be mine in a heartbeat! But all are just adorable. Glad it went well!
Oh my God!! So many giant bunnehs!! Icicle is incredibly beautiful and I would love to bring her home and do some couch snuggles!
Ducky is a doll! What a great idea to teach people about bunnies…especially this time of year. Looks like you had a blast. I wish my local SPCA would do something similar.
I’ve been talking with them a lot and it looks like Kelly is a good bunny for us. She the lighter of the 2 Flemish in the picture. We’ll see how I do with the house the next week or 2 to make sure I can really keep up. She’s a calm, quiet, lazy giant that loves to cuddle. Who could ask for more!?!
Please wrap up little Ducky and send him to me. kthnx
