I never realized how much more stuff you could see on a mini rex than on any other rabbit… :/

It looks like there may be a little inflammation under Banner’s nose – but as I don’t normally have an up close view of it (when he’s licking my face I have to close my eyes lol because he’s all about the eyelids) I’m not sure.  Today I had him playing on the bed and at one point I was able to look up at his face and it looked like his nose was a little red.  No snuffling, sneezing, discharge (at least that I can see or feel) – should I worry?  Or is this just general bunny-noseness and because Merry’s got more hair I’ve just never seen it?

And nope, no pics – like I could get the boy to stay still that long to take any pic, let alone one up his nose!

Side note: he’s getting picked up this Sat by foster mom so that he can go get neutured on Wed – can I wait that long?

Not really sure if you should or not. I guess I would say if you feel like it’s affecting him in anyway then you should be concerned.

He doesn’t seem to be affected – and like I said, maybe the inside/underside of a bunny nose is SUPPOSED to be that pink – I’ve never looked
            Thanks for the advice!

The first time I noticed the redness in Sammy’s nostril area I was also taken aback and thought something was wrong. It was within a few weeks of having him and turns out it’s just what his nose looks like normally.

If he’s not sneezing, is eating and pooping normally, and has no discharge I don’t think there should be anyting to worry about. Just monitor his behavior over the next few weeks and make sure it stays normal.

Here, this is was Sammy’s nose has always looked like, for the past 9 months of his life

I’ve thought the same thing about Nelli’s nose- it’s REALLY red inside! Looks like Sammy’s nose, now that I see it- but the 1st time I noticed it I was pretty alarmed. BunBun’s nose isn’t as red for some reason. I would just watch Banner carefully for sneezing/snuffling or pawing at his nose and also keep an eye on the redness. If nothing weird shows up, it’s probably just a nice pink bunny nose .
