  Hi everyone,
  
  I hope it’s okay that I’m posting this here….
  
  On Saturday my husband and I received word that a close friend of ours was killed in Afghanistan. He was a Bomb Tech with a unit out of Schofield Barracks here in Hawaii. Staff Sergeant Mark Wells leaves behind wife who is 8 months pregnant and their 2 year old son. Mark and my husband were deployed together as Infantry Medics in Iraq in 2006 for 14 months and have been close friends ever since. Our first “real” date was a BBQ hosted by Mark and his wife and their family has been part of ours ever since.
  
  Please take a moment to remember and pray for our Brothers and Sisters who are overseas defending the Blanket of Freedom, and honor those soldiers who have fallen. Please, remember Mark and his family in your prayers. Hug your loved ones because life is too short.

  My condolences. It saddens me greatly every time I hear of another life lost in Afghanistan. Let us all pray for peace…
