        Pee-eww!

Last night Jersey picked up on TimTims smell on my clothing again.  If I sat near the ground she lunged and nipped at me. AND I distinctly picked up on her scent gland smell.  3 years I’ve had her and she’s not emitted that smell as a behaviour.  There was no mistaking it! Other then cleans, I’ve never smelt it coming from them. Territorial poop sure, but not scent glands.

Weird. She had her tail sticking out straight and was fired up. This over a pre-pubescent bunny. Going to be interesting when his hormones arrive…

I don’t think I’ve smelled the scent glands. Guess I would know. lol

Awe, Jersey doesn’t want mommy petting any other bunnies! It’s funny what they get upset about when it comes to other smells. I went over to my friend’s and her rabbit was all fine with me petting her. Then she just randomly came up to me and bit me on my side. LOL Eddie would completely lose it and attack if Lolli or Lulla (my friend’s bun) tried to mark his box. He never did anything with his wood box except jump on it to stare at me every once in a while, but it was HIS, darn it. lol After they got bonded, he was fine with Lolli messing with it.

I’d say the expert on jealousy in her bunnies is Bunnytowne. Cotton was so mad at her over so many bunnies, that she only has Ruby now because she is the only one he learned to tolerate. Cotton could write the book on jealous behavior. You could write her an email for more info. I’m sure.

Wooly did this to me, but it was because he was REALLY mad at me. Yuck, he even got rabbit juice on me, it was so gross!

                  lol^
I don’t know if it’s truly is jealousy. Maybe it’s something they do when they feel there’s an invasion in their territory by a strange rabbit? Anyway, I’d never sensed it before. I suppose those glands are there for a reason.
                  Jersey does keep things…interesting.

I get some stinkiness from Smudge when she gets cranky. Usually after Monkey has done a hump session that Smudge doesn’t want to do. She gets thumpy and stinky after

Huh. I wonder if it is defensiveness then? Wonder how that would work? Do they make the offender faint or something!

Twice more this has happened. One time when I had TimTim with me and the other was today when I didn’t but had been holding him earlier. I lay on the floor near J&R and she started sniffing my clothes, jumped on me and nipped me. Growls, that smell, tail sticking straight out. Scary bunny!

It’s strange, because I can be holding & petting TimTim and if they come in the room, I can lean down and pet Jersey and she’ll respond well to that. But she’ll be unpredictable and can get antsy. I know I said I didn’t think it could really be jealousy but it sure does feel like it! Funny thing is, I think he might be reacting a little the same. Like he doesn’t want me giving her attention. Lol.
I have a sneaking suspicion these 2 have some stuff in common. Just little things I’m noticing…
