Well, I usually have a bit of trouble reading books lately, because my eyes are so bad, but I’d be glad to give it a shot if you’d like to send them.
Thanks Lin! (Um…btw…is this one you mentioned filled with any gory details of guides being eaten, because I think I’ll have to bleep over those parts…lol) 0_o
I remember when Born Free came out…that was a wonderful story. And you mentioned awhile back the story of Christian. I can’t tell you how much I wanted a lion or cougar cub as a kid. My hubby worked at the Wildlife Waystation in Southern California when he was a teen. I love hearing his stories about it.
Would anyone here recommend donating to a group like World Wildlife Fund? Since I doubt I’ll ever get to travel to any of these exotic places, I just wish I could do something to help.
Michelle, I’ve always wanted an elephant!
I love elephants! I’ve seen quite a few specials on their lives and families, they are fascinating! But I have to admit, gorillas scare me to death. 0_o
BT, we get to see the wolves up here quite a bit. They are truly terrifying in real life. (Not as bad as realizing a bear’s gone by though. We had some bear scat in our back yard one of the first years we were here…I refused to go outdoors for weeks after that!)
I can’t stand that the state allows the wolves to be shot from bush planes. I hope someday we’ll see an end to the practice of aerial wolf control. It completely disgusts me.
