Sammy got some Sub Q fluids injected today at the vet (around 2:30PM PST) and I don’t think they’ve all absorbed yet. There seems to still be a pocket of fluid close to the injection site (not too big but still there). Is this normal or should the fluid have been absorbed already?

        Thanks!

That’s perfectly normal. The fluids start being absorbed immediately but that lump you will notice go down gradually. Sometimes it takes as much as a few days. I was concerned the first time that happened to Bindi but it’s normal. Don’t worry, as long as it goes down eventually.

I think 24 to 48 with quite a bit being absorbed in the first twelve or so. Sounds fine They look funny as ‘camel’ bunnies-I’ve even heard in dogs, they can slide down and make quite a silly stomach lump for a while

Yeah actually in Sammy it did slide down and make a stomach lump. Looked pretty funny while he was running around. But it’s all absorbed now!
