I’m laying on the floor and  I pluck clump of fur off Lolli and just put it on her area rug as I have to clean anyways.    I turn back to the tv and her her move and look over.  She’s all stretched out.  Then the weirdo proceeds to EAT the clump of fur.  WTH!?!  Seriously.   I’ve been pissing her off by combing her because I know that ingested fur can cause blockages and she does this.  Is her eating fur normal?

Sammy always tries to eat his fur when I pluck it off him. As soon as I’m done, he tries to go for the hairball in my hand immediately, so I have to always get rid of it right away. So to me it sounds normal but maybe we have two weird bunnies LOL

I’ve seen rabbits do this before too. So it’s not totally abnormal.

My bunnies have never eaten the furball, but they always check it out.

My MIL’s dog, however, always tries to eat fur you pluck off of her, so it’s not just a bunny thing.

She does like to check out her shedded fur, but I have never seen her eat it until last night. Ok. I will just make sure I throw her fur away after I pluck it or comb her. It was just really weird. LOL

They are narcissistic divas. Best to throw it away, or make a teeny wig for them to wear on bad hare days.

I could make her a hare shirt with it all! lol
