        Hello!

I’m pretty desperate for some sound advice here!  I currently have two un-neutered males that were both very unplanned aquisitions (if you are curious about their little backstories, look here! ) Before Ollie arrived, I was looking into getting Bun-bun neutered and e-mailing a rescue about finding a spayed female companion for him. But when Ollie came, he took the extra room I am not experienced at all when it comes to rabbits… but I have intro-ed other pet species like rats, mice, cats, and dogs.

What I am wondering is… should I keep trying to find a home for Ollie, and continue with my previous plan, or is there any hope of them being able to bond if they were both neutered?  Is there any way to find out pre-neuter if they might have a chance bonding, or is it all guessing? They have never even been in the same room before because I was afraid that would spark them to mark territory I really didn’t want to go the ‘arranged marriage’ bonding route, but is it ok in the situation?

        Help!!

I was in the same situation once, acquired two intact males. Yes, they can bond, but you can’t try them out together at all until 4 weeks post-neuter. Just reserve lots of neutral space for their intros and you will be fine. Neutered males tend to be easier in many cases, even if they start out a little feisty.

Thanks! I went ahead and scheduled both of their neuter surgeries for next week…. I hope everything goes well and they can meet soon!
