Ever since I made the 3 story rabbit condo, Chacha has been acting up.

She is normally really diva like, but has never bit me. I put my hand in to (big mistake, I know) to pet her, and she lunges at me, growls, AND bites my finger  !!! It was really surprising! She has kept on doing this.. she has become territorial, perhaps?

Also, ever since I moved her into the condo, she hasn’t been popping 100% in her litter box. I finished my last bag of carefresh after she moved in, and her litter habits were going a little off. perhaps the condo is the culprit? I am using wood stove pellets as of now.

Not only that, but when I put down hay in her condo, she’ll eat it, and the next morning, I’ll find poops near where I put the hay!

        Oh my gosh! LOL!

What do I do? Any advice?

The condo floor has a sturdy plastic mat with a towel that covers the mat.

Oh, I do I leave more hay out for her to munch on. She won’t eat the hay I leave for her on the top story O_O!!!!!!
I’ll just confine the hay to the litter box.

She was pooping in the place where I put hay in her ikea hay rack. I moved the rack so it is situated in her litter box (I tied it to the condo nic grid) and now she won’t eat the hay from the hay rack

being territorial over a cage is very normal. Just try to avoid sticking your hand in as much as possible.

I swear, she called Samantha for advice.
Sammy was fastidious about her litter pan until a few months ago. Then when I changed her hay holder, she started sitting next to her litter pan and eating from it and pooping a ton just outside, where she sat eating hay.

I finally just had the second, spare litter pan, placed it with some litter and a pile of hay right in front of the hay rack, and she has to eat it sitting inside the second pan that is right next to her main litter pan. Which she uses when she isn’t eating hay. Good grief. (And right now she’s eating hay from an angle, standing in her pellet dish and leaning over so she doesn’t have to stand in the hay litter pan. Oy.)

And this morning (I was dying to tell you guys this one) she came out for breakfast with her usual, grumpy growling lunging, only today she binkied! I mean, she binkied and growled in the air! She had me chase her, did spins and leaps and lunges and growls. She seemed like a happy samurai warrior!
It was as if she was playing jungle wildcat and really enjoying pretending I was attacking her because she did some really fancy footwork and kept coming back for more. So I think we just have a pair of growly divas who are Fierce.

Rabbitpam! HAHA!! I seriously had the case of the giggles from reading your post!

Well, I moved her litter box to a certain angle last night and this morning when I went to give her pellets – there was no poo outside the box!!!!!!!

                  *crosses fingers*

Samantha and Chacha are Divas in Crime.. lol. Sounds like they act quite alike
