So my brother has been hit with the hard times of the American economy and lost his job and is in the process of a divorce with his wife. He mvoed out of their house and she sent their dog (a German Shepherd) and their cat with him. At his new place he can’t have pets so we are keeping them.

I was soooo afraid of having these two in my house with my bunny but it’s actually been working out! Roxy (the German Shepherd) absolutely loves Nibbler and Nibbler loves her. Nibbler likes to run up to her and bump his nose against hers then take off running to see if she will chase him. However Mr. Kitty is not so good with Nibbler. Fortunately Mr. Kitty stays outside all day and only comes in at night to sleep, and we have a separate room that he can stay in away from Nibbler. I don’t totally trust Roxy though of course, so we have moved Nibbler’s cage and things to our bedroom and he stays in there at night so that Roxy can’t get to him and during the day I keep them separate unless I’m able to closesly supervise. But still it is surprising to me how fearless Nibbler is. It’s like he has no concept of how tiny he is compared to this huge dog!

That’s good that it’s working out! Just keep closely supervising them!

Youtube has lots of videos of itty bitty rabbits chasing huge dogs around. Little bossy buggers they are! LOL

That must be different…having no dog and then having a big dog like a shepherd. It’s wonderful that you took in you brother’s pets during hard times. So many pets are ending up in shelters due to the economic situation in America.

Oh I forgot to mention that we all ready have two dogs, two chihuhahuas! Haha so it’s been REALLY interesting. But yeah it’s pretty awesome how bossy the bunny is! =D
