So I have been talking to my bf and we decided to get our present house bunny a companion since she is such a delightful part of our extended fur baby family! I have been talking to this girl over the phone that was giving away a “mini” lop that is already litter trained. Well to find out it is a holland lop like our present bunny and very beautiful, in fact he is slightly larger than Cupcake (yes Cupcake is spayed). He has black splotches all over and his name is Patches, he is a very good boy also but right now he is in a playpen learning how to use the pellet litter that I use because she used cat litter and cat litter is NOT good for rabbits, and he also never had hay or veggies! So hopefully our house is like rabbit heaven to him because Cupcake sure is spoiled and he is not any different!

Awww, that’s great to hear! Hopefully he and your Cupcake can get along and be best friends! Thank you for adopting Patches and giving him a great home

Thank you, I did introduce Patches to Cupcake, but it is going to take a little time because Cupcake is scared of him! I am positive that they will warm up to each other in no time though!

I’m guessing Patches isn’t neutered yet, if thats the home he had previously. You may want to hold of on bonding until you the him altered, bonding will be easier after

Very true! I didn’t really think about that since Cupcake in spayed. They are getting along better today though, but my dear Patches will still be getting nuetered so I hope he doesn’t think he is getting out of it that easy lol.

LOL! Yes, neutering is very important!

Also, when you bond the two (waiting a month after his neuter is recommended), your girl or boy (or both) may hump. It is a sign of dominance, not to worry! If you need help, just create a bonding thread in the bonding forum
